Millington will push into the props rotation when Wright is on the field..Pom moves to the 2nd Row

or

Wright comes onto play 5/8, Baz to 7 and Morris to 2nd row or lock pushing Millington into the props rotation

Mate holding on to the ball long enough to complete a set was a bit beyond us today I'm not sure we want to complicate it any further.

can only go up, we've hit rock bottom [not including the table]

You've got a short memory. Today was nowhere near as bad as we have been this year. Far, far from rock bottom. Regardless of that though the "can't do any worse" is even less comforting. If your strongest credentials are that the current bloke is having a shocker and you probably couldn't do worse, thats not good enough.

Okay this is really radical but let me know your thoughts...
Kelly on the bench, Smith at 6 and Porter at 7. (assuming Barrett's suspension)

The reason for Smith at 6? He can get involved in the play more and have the pretty level headed and consistent (even if it's consistently average) Porter to run the boys around the park. I think Smith just needs a bit of pressure taken off, he's not a leader but has plenty of skill. Give Smith until half time. If he's not playing well, Kelly could sub in. It's time to consider some time out of first grade for Smith.
I'm really not keen on Kelly/Porter on the field at the same time but let's face it - Smith will not win us a game the way he's playing at the moment and Kelly just might do something freakish... He and Gardner linking up, I like the sound of that, and it sounds like Kelly has been playing well in the lower grade.

If we play like we have over the last 2 weeks we are in trouble against Manly. I hate losing to them.

I would be happy to see Morris at 7 and Smith at 5/8th. Move Baz to lock and push Gal up.

I hate to blame origin for our lapse of form in the last 2 weeks.
But its real hard not to.

Gallen is a champion so nothing wrong there.
You just see it time and time again.

Origin hang over week.
3 weeks of every year.

Where the big names play crap for their clubs.

Sux big time but I just love origin. Catch 22 really.

Barrett charged but free to play
14:09 AEST Jul 12 2010

Cronulla skipper Trent Barrett is free to play in Saturday night's match against Manly despite being charged with tripping by the NRL match review committee.

Barrett was handed a grade one charge for his 62nd-minute trip on Newcastle halfback Jarrod Mullen in Sunday's 21-10 loss to the Knights at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

But the charge attracted only a 75-point penalty, while even loading from a prior offence failed to push it beyond the 100-point mark at which a ban kicks in.

Barrett is expected to announce this week that this will be his last season in the game, his career set to end in first week of September with the Sharks unlikely to feature in the finals series.

The Sharks have won only five of 16 games this season, and would need to win seven of their last eight matches to be any hope of qualifying for the finals.
