oh yeah I forgot about green, he was really good and often dragged the defenders along for a few metres and made plenty of tackles. He and gibbs are very very similar players in the way they defend. imo he should be considered over taufua just for his defense, taufua has a slightly better running game.

Josh I really don't see Taufua, whom has been consistently solid for us, being dropped after one good game from Green. Green has been poor in NSW Cup and from memory he was the "big name player" at the Shark that was unhappy.

P.s. Taufua's defense is much better than Greens. Taufua makes those important tackles which go unnoticed.

Hey, this isn't a bad result for us, with our bad for and against, it really doesn't make a difference, we would be in the same spot anyway, we have the worst for and against out of the teams around us, so yeah, almost like a win for us.

TBH I don't have alot of time for Green. As MB said earlier, doesn't seem to "put in" for the entire time he is on the field.

Bring back Dobes!

Was at the game last night and wanted to let the dust settle.

As has been said our 5th tackle options were off last night. Robbo's long kicking game was off.

We seemed to go back to Carney or bust last night. Robbo took the line on but it looked staged, not off the cuff like last couple of games.

Carney backed up well after origin.

Stapo looked lost again. Dropped a couple of bombs in the in goal.

Morris is solid but lacks the quality of service out of dummy half. Spent 10 minutes to long on the field. Went off with 25 to go.

Losing Best, Smith and Boggie took a toll on our attacking structure. Seemed a bit disjointed.

1 point was good keeps us in 3rd and with our for and against that one point could come in real handy.

Video ref is killing the game. Get rid of it all together I say.

Some cool info for you guys, saw Wayne Pearce in the Peter burns stand last night, saw my ex's pop and ha a beer with him and also my friend who works at the ground let Ricky Ponting in the ground. Good to see we got a famous sharkie supporter who actually comes out to te games.

Apparently he worked in with a big jacket and hat on covering his face haha

Green was not brought as a flashy prop, he has never been. But he does have a go when he is out there, last year his stats off the bench for the dragons put him sometimes ahead of their starters. And if we can get a guy to make 100m or more from the bench off less than a half of football thats pretty damn good. Especially against a big roosters pack

I think Robbo gets way too much height on his long kicks, gives the opposition back 3 plenty of time to get it on the full.

I thought it was a good game considering the players we had out.

My heart was struggling again, edge of the seat stuff thats for sure.

Gibbs deserved mom had a great game even after the cheap shot laid on him,
Poms had a ripper with a fair bit of crowd backing (the crowd loves the Pom). Great to see him throw the rooters of his back during the little scafle.

Great crowd for a cold Monday night 13000+.

Funny thing was after the siren the ground went silent, nobody new what to do or if we should sing some sort of 1/2 victory song.

Over all I enjoyed the game, great atmosphere, one point better than none although two would of been better.

Time to smash those mergin merkins on Sunday.

Yep agree Gil when the siren went nobody cheered it just died.

Sucks because the crowd was so ****ing into it golden point and the place would have erupted had we got away with the win

Funny thing was in golden point time the crowd was yelling "sharkies.....sharkies" which was the so loud you couldn't even hear the ground announcer.

We went ok considering the cattle missing. Ross has been our mr nasty of recent weeks and it was a big blow having him off. Bukuyu and Best's loss meant second option attack plays were removed from both sides of the field. And as for Smithy and Gal, their absence made the Roosters forwards look like monsters. After we've been beating up on teams the last few weeks it's hardly surprising Roosters came out like they did, we were just missing all our hitmen.

Toops played a blinder - moving him to the left to link with Graham would have been my play for late in the game. They were the only two to threaten in extra time. 15-20 metres a tackle instead of 8-10 would have made a field goal more likely. This is where we miss a genuine thinking captain (something, frankly, I think we still lack even with Gal).

Two shocker missed tackles by Leutele (who did however prove a handful in attack) and a-bloody-nother dropped bomb cost us the game, not the conservative decision to kick for goal. Both teams disallowed tries were fair tries in my view. We got soft penalties in the first half and the Rooster's grubbiness in and slowing down of the ruck in the second was the pay back - geez they were getting away with murder.

For mine, I can't believe we didn't lose it. They were tougher, and we were VERY exposed on the flanks and under the high ball.

Also for mine - I can't wait until Tupou is back to full fitness. More glimpses of what a bloody good footballer he is.

There has been worse ideas thrown around but you couldn't take Robbo away from 80 mins at No 7 which is doing a good job of. Agree that Morris is a black hole at the moment and adds little but filler.

I would prefer Chad to Robson but I'm not sure it's the best time to do it.

It's a hard one, even Chad lovers have to admit Robson hasn't done enough bad to be dropped. We can't go experimenting at this time of year really, but I would love to see a Chad/Carney combo. I think it's the most balanced combination we could do.

I guess if Robson does stay in the side as a utility then it's not that harsh and worth trying. It'd only suck for Morris really.

Tough one.

Come finals time I would prefer Robbos composure and experience over Chad's youth and potential.
