imo it is pointless having 4 bench spots. I think it should just be lowered to 3. The last spot usually gives that player a maximum of about 20mins in most teams and they would be better off playing in reserves.

The fact is that we don't need that many spots.

Yeah it's pointless, taga still seems happy playing but continually playing under 20mins isn't good for the player. The same was happening with toops when he was healthy, i'd say most of the coaches only play the players at all to avoid a situation like the DCE one in the anzac test this year.

all this pissing and moaning about the bench...we're winning. whatever

People need to learn when to stop whining and be happy for a change. If someone asked us round 15 last year if we would be complaining if we were in 5th place after 15 rounds this year I guarantee the answer would be no.

Who would have thought Jeff Robson would have been the best recruit we have bought in 5 years. I say he is at this stage.

It would appear that unless the Sharks have appointed the entire Kangaroos squad with the addition of a few cherry-picked internationals from other countries and have somehow managed to do so whilst keeping under the salary cap and also managing to blood some local juniors along the way then they'll never be satisfied.

Nothing as queer as folk... or fantasy league coaches.

well i think it is worth moaning about because a reduction in interchanges would be great for us cause we have a number of forwards
who can play big minutes and it would mean we would be playing agaisnt more tired players at the back end of games

Great to get the win. Out of all the teams currently outside of the 8, the Warriors are probably the team most likely to push their way in.

This one not only got us the 2 points but deprived a potential challenger of the 2.

We've now beaten both grand finalists from last year along with the favourites for the premiership this year!

Sounds like we are certainties for the title this year based on that math. :)

Thought our intensity was down quite a bit for the first 65 minutes and I couldn't see how we were going to win it. I'm still amazed we did.

A few observations from the ground:

1) No news flash here but our back 3 are terrible. Not up to NRL standard for me and needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency. M. Gordon is a great signing but not enough.

2) We are terrible on applying pressure to opposition kickers and this has been the case all year. Carney and Robbo were constantly under pressure but Maloney and Johnson had plenty of time to pick and choose where they were going to place theire kicks. This needs to improve and shouldn't be hard to fix.

3) Jeff Robson continues to amaze me. My Parra mate laughed when we signed him and to be honest I agreed with him. I thought he was an absolute spud. Very happy he's proved me wrong.

4) Ben Ross and Bryce Gibbs would have to be up there with the best front row pairings in the comp. Their go forward is integral to our success so far this season.

5) I'm not normally one to criticise referees but they were terrible on Saturday night. Missed two blatant forward passes (one of which was in the same set as a Warriors try) and a shepherd which also lead to a warriors try.

Fantastic winning going into the bye next week.

if anyone wants to complain about gards or matt wright again... please watch lachlan coote yesterday, he was pathetic.

on the game, it was one we didnt deserve to win, but we will take it. its happened to us too much recently its about time we got it back.

our wingers are horrible, what happened to the great kick returns from stapo and his safe as houses high ball catching skills? lol
he jogged back like a gimp.

the sam perrett news hurts, he would stroll into our backline.

our forwards really are laying a huge foundation for this team, not one of them had a bad game in the minutes they played.

it seems this game was a revers on flannos play for 70 minute theory last year, this time we didnt play for 70 and won it with 10 to go, well done.

I like this rotating hooker thing we have at the moment. I would be interested to see how many tackles both make in the match. Every time Flannagan changes to the two up it drastically changes the tempo of the game. Maybe this is a forward thinking approach. I think both are playing well and im happy to stick with it, end of the day Flannagan knows a lot more about footy than some bitches on an internet forum.

Stapo was jogging the hit up back right from the start, the fans in our corner were screaming at him to "put the foot down", but seemed incapable.
