As much as i love sitting on this forum at work.. some of the rubbish that is dribbles is ****ed!!!

IMO, We were dominant in the first half, completed almost all our sets, Parra's defense was good to the point it was almost perfect, but if we want to be a top 4 team we have to smash in at least 4 more tries.. Storm would have, Broncos would have, we need to!!!

TC had some shockers... Ike... no comment needed. With regards to Gal, how can he be to blame, we take down the storm without him, why does he matter in that 2nd half. Parra have won all but 3 2nd halves this season, everyone knew they were going to come hard on the 2nd half, even we knew that, 3 tries in the first half when we had almost 70% of the ball is just plain ****e!

As soon as Parra scored on the 2nd half, the boys heads dropped and knew this was the comeback they have been doing all season. Parra were due for a win, and they werent going to beat a bottom 8 side.

Basically we need to pull our heads together, take down Titans and Warriors, rest the next week with the Bye and get back on track for the rest of the season.. This is crunch time, if we lose our **** now we can fall too far behind and will be chasing our tails in the back end of the season.

yeah its pretty simple really...over the next few weeks we will either show we are a top 8 team or not..

Agreed, cause although it's great what Flanno & the boys have achieved so far this season, the last 4 weeks have shown we're not a top 4 team.

At the end of last year if you were told we would be sitting 6th and be the only team to beat the Storm, we all would have taken that. Because we have won more games this year all our expectations have gone up. Our side is not a top four team we all know that. We won't win the comp this year but we can build and be a force. We haven't made the 8 since 2008 so if we make the 8 this year, I will be happy as. We lost to Parra, so what. Lets see what happens over the next couple of weeks.

The way I see it, we have competed in every single game with the following exceptions:

- First half round 1 we weren't very competitive.
- The whole game against the Bulldogs we weren't competitive.
- The second half of the last game we weren't competitive.

Even in Round 2 we were competitive but just didn't throw the last pass.

Honestly, over half a season to only be able to point out maybe a combined two full games where we haven't been on top is amazing and I'm very happy with that.

Agree with Lumpy. Losing is never positive but lets see how we back up this weekend. We need to win this game at home.
Origin is hurting us a bit. I love Gallen but I cant help but wonder that if Monday was origin and the game was in the balance with 25 to go he would not have come off....nor would he have done that if we were past the origin period. Not blaming him per se, origin is a big game and he is the NSW captain, just not good for the team.
Lets hope for a big comeback on sunday. We cant really afford to lose at home to a team without, effectively, its entire first grade pack (given injuries and SOO). Will be good to see Dougie back home.

Somehow the Tigers are now ahead of us in 4th. How the **** they got there is beyond me. I haven't seem them serve up anything but dog **** this year. (not that I've watched every game).

Unfortunately I think that could be a season defining loss. History shows it is impossible to win the grand final unless you finish top 4 with the new finals system, and that loss just threw us right back into the pack.

They've had a really easy draw the last four or five games and have even had plenty of luck during it. For example beating the Titans in golden point, and only beating the Eels by a field goal etc.

Now they get the Storm minus the big three and Chambers.

And after this extremely lucky streak they'll now have a lot of confidence and probably start winning games that are actually hard.

Chambers is also out diagnosed with a rare blood disease.

Edit: My bad I didn't see you mention chambers.

We were good in the first half, but blew it. Is it just me or we never seem to win the games that everyone expects us to win, that is probably one of the differences between us and the likes of Melbourne, and one of the reasons why we are premiership pretenders, until we prove we can win when we are expected to win, we can't be considered contenders. I'm confident they can work it out though, the good news, we have done the hard work at the start of the season and it has put us in a good spot.

The good thing mate is that we're having our bad spot right now during origin.

No team has a good run for a whole season. The ones that do seem to drop off in the finals.

We've shown we can be a good team, and hopefully our second wave of goodness comes so that we have momentum going into the finals.

if anything can be learnt from monday night it will definatly be "THE FOOT DOES NOT COME OFF THE PEDAL TILL 80 MINS IS UP." The loss in my glass half full approach may actually be the rocket up the ass that some needed to keep their intensity in check. If we have a second half to the season like the 1st i wil be very very happy.

Don't panic just yet mate. I am not worried about winning a GF. I just want us to show some heart.

Perfect in so far as completions and restarts etc , but a team like Storm would have been up by 30 with those stats - our attack was still very ordinary- we did not make 1 line break in that first half despite all the ball.

We always seem to have trouble defending against a team that plays an expansive and deep backline that is moveing quickly , we just cannot defend against that . The simple fact is thats poor skills and poor coaching .

we definitely need a win this week or I'm prepared to say we are no hope for this years playoffs . We have won one from the last four - thats hardly premiership material - so many other teams incl the Titans are showing way more momentum and consistency than us at present .

We are in a major rut at present and need to dig ourselves out quickly and confidently

We don't have the attacking guns to put points on like that though. The way we play, 20 points is the perfect half and we are capable of keeping teams to 2 tries. Until we have flash and maybe another good back we won't be any chance of putting those sort of points on.

Our defense has really turned to **** lately, we need to get back to what was working for us.

couldn't agree more about our defense turning to **** lately (with the exception of the storm game). Especially our goal line defense. In the first half Parra only had one chance to score and they scored and the second half was diabolical. I'm sure Flanno would have addressed this, this week and i would expect much better on Sunday

Some sanity at last! My feelings exactly Lumpy. Let's just slow down & remember where we have been & where we are now. In racehorse form guide talk...improvement noted!
