Burts ''knock on'', to me was him making a tackle and the ball hit his arm, if Inglis didnt play at the ball in origin, neither did Burt just then.

There is no grey area with this rule as of this year. The defender is always playing at the ball no matter what. It was a knock on.

Ahh, since1967. Don't waste your time sam, the bloke see's rainbows flying out of Flanagan's arse. For the most part our recruitment has been abysmal. Just even more so when it comes to outside backs. Lucky for 67 I'm going to work now, but I''ll be back to get a piece of this action tomorrow mark my words. I'm going to spend atleast 2 hours just sharpening that axe for Flanagan and Robson.

hahahahaha

I wouldn't mind giving a young gun a go in place of Gordon on Sunday. Perhaps give Pickard, Feki or maybe even Moroko a run.

Guys, not panicking despite the loss last night....however.... we really need Todd to turn on a show next Wednesday to reignite his form and confidence. That failed kick for touch last night really changed the game in my eyes. I was out there, and let me tell you the lift from the Eels was incredible, whilst our boys seemed to just shut up shop. It was not the prettiest half of footy ive seen. We are just lucky it was Parra not Melbourne - as it could have been a lot more! Our boys had very poor reads on Hayne, like they were star struck?

You never ever pick rep over a club. If he is in doubt for a club game, he probably wont be named, in origin, he will spend the week in camp, missing his team game, train to play, play injured, then back up and stink for his club. Not saying he doesnt have a heart, but this time of year we lose our play maker, and our heavy hitter. We cant afford to lose him for more than the 3 games neccesary. **** if all these origin guys are as hard as they reckon theyd be able to show up for their clubs, play on the wednesday, then play again the next weekend. My body cops a beating at work, lifting, ****ed back, ****ed knees, i still turn up to work

Hmm.... players are still picked for origin based on their club form, aren't they?

First half was perfect, we controlled the game.!

Perfect in so far as completions and restarts etc , but a team like Storm would have been up by 30 with those stats - our attack was still very ordinary- we did not make 1 line break in that first half despite all the ball.

We always seem to have trouble defending against a team that plays an expansive and deep backline that is moveing quickly , we just cannot defend against that . The simple fact is thats poor skills and poor coaching .

we definitely need a win this week or I'm prepared to say we are no hope for this years playoffs . We have won one from the last four - thats hardly premiership material - so many other teams incl the Titans are showing way more momentum and consistency than us at present .

We are in a major rut at present and need to dig ourselves out quickly and confidently

Spool down turbo. Yeah we are in a little bit of a rut but look at the titans as a perfect example of how quickly things can change in the NRL. Even in our loses we havn't played THAT badly. If we lose against the titans missing most of their pack i will stress but untill then....

Keyboard hero? Hang on, arnt you the one telling our coach how he should do his job? Is that you gus gould? My point is that you are saying to throw more money at players to secure them? Long term how has that gone for us in the past? Anthony tupou, dean collis, karlos filiga, adam cuthbertson, broderick wright or corey hughes ring any bells? We did exactlt that with them and they were all duds who some we were stuck with for extended periods. Your not providing any education to me, you have yet to tell me who you would have signed. This is the parra v sharks thread and you have turned it into a rant against a coach after he has lost 2 games and his side sit in the top 8, oh and about your call of teams on a roll that are below us, there's 1 and that's the gold coast. The rest are playing a lot worse than us!!!!

And yet he comes back with another load of tripe. Who says we paid overs for any of those players except Tupou? Do you know what they got? They just didnt perform like the current players standing on the wings.

Hardly a coach bashing session as well. As I said in my first Flangan has done / is doing some good things. This debate is about the quality of our wingers and outside back depth and the poor recruitment by the coach which has lead to this position. And despite several (poor) attempts you cannot dispute this. There's not a person on here that thinks our wingers are any good and its not costing us in games. I am not wasting time going through the teams again, been there done that, like I said, you have a look and you might realise a couple things. I wont hold my breath though.

Saved our asses in the melbourne game with his defence

That was 2 weeks ago people forget to easy.
It was about 4 weeks ago that Mills was being SLAMMED on here even while we where winning about his piss poor defence. Yet now everyone cant wait for him to get back.

Ill say though id be happy with Ike to be dropped in place of Moroko. Only because i see something in that kid.

Could be. My eye for talent has slacked off a bit as of late.

Cherry-Evans, Edrick Lee and Dan Moroko have been the juniors i have followed since Albert Signed with the Sharks.

Sure did AS, they all loved him then...things change mightily quickly round here.
Sure did. I admit Ike had a shocker this game but how quick people turn around here is funny. In the heat of the moment people say stuff not thinking about it, but the next day surely should bring out some sort of sense

How is anything i have said tripe or near being untrue? Get over yourself mate. You said you werent going to waste your time so stop responding. I have said I don't think our outside backs are much chop, but I'm not blaming flanno for it. To go through those players I know we paid 250k a year for filiga the same for Collis, we know what tupou is on and a mate told me the other day we paid brod wright 320! Yes 320k....

The first player off the top of my head from last year was Willie tonga, you would have bought him if you were in charge no doubt. How has he turned out? We offered him 400k and couldn't get him here cause parra offered more, bad recruitment I guess cause we should have splashed more to make sure we get him? Even his brother who we also were linked to, another we should have made sure we got? He has played 1 or 2 games for the worst team in the comp. Kane linnet, we tried to get him as well, went to the cowboys again for more cash? Want me to keep going? We offer what players are worth if they walk then good luck to them.

This all started when you made the comment that you can't make the 8 with a great pack of forwards and no backs, and I challenged you on it.
