taking the sharks googles off for a minute, we beat a dragons side in the wet with a full strength side, and a good kicking game and outstanding d on the night, our kicking game has been disgraceful the last couple of weeks, the broncos will be at full strength and to be fair lockyer has an outstanding kicking game in the wet and the broncos have been outstanding in defence this year and our attack is nothing more than disgraceful at times, we defend ok but can not score points, broncos will put 20 plus on us, my googles are now back on.

with the completion rates we have at the mo(very high), bring on the RAINNNNNNNNN!!!!!

we could have high completion rate we still dont score points any other side playing the storm yestaday would have belted them i watchd the game again today i dont know why i do it to myself

Sharks to honour Locky's final Sydney game.....

In a rare stroke of good fortune, Cronulla are hopeful a scheduling quirk and some good weather will hand them a bumper crowd for Friday's NRL fixture against Brisbane at Toyota Stadium.

The Sharks have been dogged by rain-affected games in the past few years which saw their average home crowd shrink to an NRL worst of 10,551 last season.

But the promise of hosting Brisbane, Queensland and Australia captain Darren Lockyer's last regular season club game in Sydney looks set to boost their already promising attendance numbers, which have lifted to 12,752 a game in 2011.

Due to a scheduling oddity Lockyer, who will retire at the end of the season, will not play a club game in Sydney again unless the Broncos travel south for a finals match.

The 34-year-old will miss Brisbane's round 17 match at Parramatta Stadium as he will be in camp with Queensland for his final State of Origin match, while in round 16 South Sydney have taken their home clash with Brisbane across to Perth.

The Sharks confirmed they will seek to honour Lockyer on Friday night.

"It is an away captain, but he's also the Australian captain so we'll definitely give him the dues that he deserves," Peter Beaumont, Cronulla's general manager commercial, told AAP.

"I just hope it gets a few of the general rugby league fans in Sydney to come out and get to the ground.

"It's a pretty big game for Darren, he'll probably be back for the semi-finals but it is his last away game in Sydney."

Lockyer said he had fond memories of playing in Sydney, including winning four grand finals at ANZ Stadium with the Broncos, but admitted it was hard to reflect too much in the middle of his farewell season.

"There's a lot of things I guess that go through your mind (in the last year) but I've said it before, I'm not going to reflect too much about it all until the end of the season," he said.

"I've got some great memories of Sydney and some not so great memories.

"It would be nice to finish down there on a good note (against Cronulla) but there's no guarantees that will happen."

At this stage, the Sharks are also keeping a close eye on the Bureau of Meteorology website with early forecasts for Friday indicating a fine winter evening free of rain.

"Last year was hard, we had a lot of games where it was pretty wet or it had been wet that day, around that decision making moment ... at this stage (Friday) is a fine day," Beaumont added.

"If somebody could keep the rain away that would be fantastic."

BOM says forcast of partly cloudy friday light winds...20deg max

I'm really looking forward to seeing what jersey the men (otherwise in black, white & blue) will be wearing on Friday night for the "Call To Arms" Round.

We'll be getting a peek on Wednesday from what I've been told.

If anyone wishes to join me in volunteering to assist with helping out the Cancer Council on game night please let me know.

I'd also like to request pledges from Sharks Forever users to meet our Club's commitment to this fantastic cause.

Remember, 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in our lives.

This is something that affects us all and something that we all need to lend our support to.

I'll provide more info shortly
