Sharks could be in with a real chance, they did have a relatively positive end to last season. As did Canberra, but they finished on probably the lowest feeling possible. Injured Campo, and missed the semi by a bees dick.

Sharks 18-12. Simple, forward pack driven game. probably 2 of the best forward packs in the NRL

Snowy, the lighthouse is in belco, that would probably be the closest. However depending on where people are staying theres a few clubs scattered all around that run courtesy buses to the games if we decided to get on it early. Either way i am easy.

If anyone needs help with booking accom, or anything send me a pm.

possible round 1 combinations

according today,s sunday telegraph graham partner 5/8 albert kelly in trial agaisnt newcastle. the article also states that kelly stood out agaisnt manly & is pushing for start in round 1.
so if this article is correct we may have:
*6 kelly & 7 graham in round 1

Can't really start talking about the round 1 team seriously yet. What happens if T.Smith goes all 2005 on us and plays out of his skin and Kelly gets hooked? We all hope that doesn't happen and Kelly plays well again, but we will have to wait till after the Newcastle trial to be really putting out serious ideas for our round 1 team.

well if kelly & graham are starting halves for last trial, barring injury you would expect that to be round 1 combination. sure kelly may have a shocker & smith may play great. normally a coach will field close to their best team for final trial to get combinations going for round 1.
i personally hope both kelly & smith both play great so there is geniue competition for starting in the halves with graham

For me Kelly reminds me of Preston Campbell when we slotted him into the half position in the year before Anderson. I'm excited about him playing in the first 13. He has an x factor that we have been missing and I hope that he does well. Tim Smith- there is something missing. I'm just not excited about him!
I hope Kelly proves me right and Smith proves me wrong as these guys are the key to our success in 2011.

i agree it is a little early to starting talking round 1 teams, i however was convinced come round 1 our halves were going to be *6 graham & 7 smith, this article changes that a bit. Also it may be a bit of fun to try & pick the round 1 team & see how close we get, of course the closer we get to round 1 the easy that will be

I really hope Kelly is our starting half!! as a few of you have mentioned he does look alot like Preston. Unlike Smith Kelly has speed and from what I saw at Brooky he will take the line on, his kicking game is ok as well.

i think its becomming obvious that Kelly needs to be in the round one team. .. and as far as pomms go, i will be PISSED OFF if we re-sign him after this year. Its time he left and the money was used to buy a first class centre. I think if we keep Kelly, Graham, Townsend, we will be ok in the halves for many years to come

i agree with go - i really can't see value in playing graham at 7. kelly half, graham 5/8 for mine.

i'll disagree with andrew (and many others) though. once pommeroy had his finger fixed last year he did actually pull it out! he is still relatively young and this year will be telling. but if you look at our current roster he is definitely still in our top three centres (collis and best being the others) and honestly there aren't that many first class centres out there. hopefully we can have a successful season and attract one of the few gun centres to join us if pommeroy (and others) don't fire.

go sharks.

Tend to disagree we have seen smith play last season and he was absolutely crap with one trial left to the first match of the season I really hope flanno has already decided to give ak a go. We need attacking players like Kelly to score points which for the last couple of years has been our let down. Common flano time for a change

I wish the sharks had 2 more tirals before game 1

I think the last trial should be half game graham and kelly and the other half smith and graham. With whoever has the better half gettign the starting spot. I guess if we do end up starting with smith come round one we could always have kelly on the bench
