Not a mention for this bloke?

Got a dead leg after scoring, played on & rolled his ankle taking a catch on 1 leg, hobbling around with the trainer refusing to come off. He was targetted with kicks & took em all. Run for 188m, got the spread for CT's try started, grabbed himself another try.

With the benefit of hindsight does anyone still reckon Hiroti should've been in over Ronnie?

I'll take Ron on 1 leg & that's no knock on Hiroti.
Yeah those calls for Hiroti were ridiculous, people have short memories.

Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo says his ankle is fine despite sending a scare through the camp on Friday night when he limped horribly for 10 minutes in the big win over the Titans.

But it’s lucky he was even out there after fearing he’d broken his jaw after a training mishap the day before the Round 22 game against the Panthers.

The try-scoring machine was doing a defensive drill with teammate Jesse Ramien when he copped a knock to the jaw at captain’s run which dazed him and ruled him out for two games under the concussion protocols.

Mulitalo suffered a shocking broken jaw that ended his 2021 season and was worried the same thing had happened on the eve of the finals.“

I was holding the tackling pad and copped an elbow from Jesse flush on the chin,” he said.

“I thought I broke my jaw again. There was a bit of blood, but I went for scans and was good to go.

“I’ve never seen a winger cop an HIA at the captain’s run, but accidents happen.”

Mulitalo wasted no time in his return scoring the first try inside the opening five minutes on Friday, but it looked like his night was over after hurting his ankle while diving for the line.

The winger could barely move and buckled over as he tried to reel in a kick which prompted Matt Moylan to start warming up as the coaching staff planned a major backline reshuffle.

But the New Zealand star stayed out there and dominated the contest with two tries and three line-breaks, although he’s expecting to cop it from his teammates at training next week.

“I kind of hope there is something wrong with it because the boys at training on Monday might give it to me for grade three carry-on,” he joked.

“I hit a nerve and everything from my knee down was dead. I couldn’t feel my ankle, and then I went back for a kick and rolled right over it so it went from bad to worse.“

I just wanted to give it 10 minutes to see if I could get through it. I didn’t want to miss an occasion like tonight so I was going to do everything I could to stay in. Once they strapped it up it felt much better.”

This bloke is on 18 tries for the year. Could well be our new record holder for most tries in a season. Val had 22 in 2017/18 (can't remember)

Yeah surprised me too. I gave him my 2 in the 3-2-1s, I didn’t see his name pop up much there
