If he was cheap I think it would be a decent signing.

Apparently the Pennies are willing to pay for 30% of his contract as well.

Absolutely, if we could get him at the right price - he is still a class player and the experience he would lend to our backline would be invaulable. I think a change of environment could be just what he needs to revitalise his career.

If we could get him at a fair price he could bring a lot of experience to the team ,he has played grand final and origin before ,may be good as a utility.
Although am i wrong in thinking his defence strays ?
I reckon Johnny Lang might send him a lifeline at the bunnies as they didnt get Lewis and Vagana is possibly on the way out, who knows?

I wouldn't say no to Whesser on short term deal, but I'd much prefer to snaffle Coote, or some other talented younger player. I'm sure Penrith won't let that happen. Maybe we might have the position covered with this Matt Wright fella? Or Stapleton or Orcher?

maybe for a year because it seems he has been struggling with injuries the past 2 yrs. he is not that guy who used to be the most electric player in the comp anymore. if hes cheap then i say maybe, but as a last resort

I'm a big fan of Whesser, so why not.
At least, it'll give the team some speed at the back. Put him on the wing (although I know he's a bit dodgy under the high ball).

We re full with our Cap as it is, Wesser will not be at the club.

To retain Ben Orcher we need to probably release another outside back first. with Tupou, barret and Huhes comine and Ross not looking like being released, Gallen, Bird, Kearney, williams, Anderson, Pommeroy, Covell, Douglas, Seymour at the club in 2009 there isn't much room left under the cap....

NO

surprised the panthers fan (95er) hasnt said anything

he is old and overrated and we have better prospects coming through eg orcher

I take offence to that Peachy. I am old and overrated so the missus should get a new prospect hey? Hmmmm sometimes wish she would!!
