My only thoughts were his physical fitness. But the club knows that situation best

Uele, Woods and Rudolf could potentially do with a break. Particularly Rudolf and Uele as they'll be feeling the season more being inexperienced.

Duges too.

I'm sure Brailey is feeling the effects of this season too but I'd like to keep our spine intact for the rest of the year.

Gotta run out with out best team available IMO. No doubt some of the boys are tired physically/mentally, but resting players isn’t a luxury we can afford atm. Cliche, but we need the boys to gel and gain some confidence from putting in a good effort over consecutive weeks. Seems a little counter productive trying to work on your defence together but sitting out key players.

I don’t think we’ll magically have figured out our defence issues in the next couple of weeks after struggling all year. Throw the boys in the deep end and let them reflect on it over the off-season.

I agree with resting a few of the forwards mentioned and possibly Duges. That’s it. Definitely need our halves and the rest of the backline to keep playing though. Combos in the backline need to be developed further, as well as our defence structure in the backs.

I say make them train and play intra-club matches throughout the finals series regardless of when they get knocked out.

They will have to be in the bubble for some period after their last game anyway. 10-14 days depending on who their opposition is and where the game is played.

You want to rest them to make it 4 games until the off season.


I would rest Uele for one game. Maybe Ruldolph and that is probably it.

Fifita could do with some game time to get some match fitness anyway and you want some of the fringe first graders/ bench players to get some match fitness before the finals anyway.

Yeah the young forward brigade could do with rests. Uele this week. Rudolph the next.
Dugan and Katoa. Even Will kennedy.

Tank these last 2 games. IMO we want to play Canberra in the first round. Let them claim 5th.

Then we play Eels. Then knock off the storm and roosters in the final.

Even just that one game for a 20 min stint will be beneficial for his development for next year. Give the coach an idea on where he is at.

Only our coaching staff would be the only ones who really know who needs a spell, I’d be inclined to pick the same 17 for as long as we can now the finals are almost here.

Worryingly, we are 18 rounds into the season & we haven’t really put in a back to back performance that shows we can challenge in sudden death, who knows, we could jag a performance against Roosters or Raiders in the next two weeks, hell even week 1 of the finals but whenever or if we do, I don’t like our chances of doing it the following week.
