Now we have a finals berth to look forward to, do we rest anyone?

Dugan looks spent to me and could benefit from a week off.

BHU also seems a bit down.

Anyone else?

Unless they are needing a week off to get over a injury issue, nah keep playing we are are still not even close to being good enough, playing last years grand finalist in a row now we have got to the finals is a good test of character, with a young squad think jmo said 4 or 5 players with over 50 games. the more games against better opposition and bigger stakes the more experience they can get from it. No need to rest, we need to find some sort of mojo or tap into our old DNA of being resilient not going to find that watching from the sidelines.

Could be right Vic, but remember the comp has been running for 4 months straight now, no byes this year.

Would have to be some tired players atm.

Maybe Woods , let finger heal a bit too .
Has been a long year for our prop forwards .
Let 2 young guns have a crack for short stints.

One thing is we can't change our halves now. They have chopped and changed every game over the past 4-6 weeks.
Maybe, maybe, maybe Dugan, Woods, BHU but that would be it and only if really desperate.
Wade is already getting his rest and Chad probably shouldn't be back this year unless for injury cover!
I think we should try to keep a consistent and settled team here on in with only Wade coming back in.
That means Trindall also misses out which is a shame from my POV but we need to gel now and further changes just keeps the disruptive tone to our playing style.

I’d say no HB as we need to play ourselves into form somehow. Can only do that if your best 17 is playing. Something we’ve lacked a bit this year is stability in the halves, so I definitely wouldn’t rest the halves at the very least as they need to actually build some kind of cohesion before the finals. I know the next two games aren’t ideal because of the sheer quality we’re going up against, but it’s the only way to build momentum if we have the same 17 out there.

I love the idea of resting blokes against the Roosters. Might throw them a bit :D
They're probably thinking of doing the same :)

I think you could rest Woods, Talakai, BHU and Toby without breaking any combinations. They're all a bit battered, and a game out against tough competition might not hurt. Fifita might be up for a few more minutes this week, and I'm still keen to see our big Hunt get a start and see what he can do with it. Williams looks ready to get some bigger minutes under his belt. Duges kind of plays the same fresh or battered, but you could put Talakai in at centre, which would still be reduced work for him and a break from the middle. I reckon Kennedy needs a break, but don't see any other options at the back... Nene? Though we still need our spine together to gel better.

Katoa/Ronnie might need a break after the Warriors game. Could be a good chance to see where Nene is at... but I still think them spending time on with SJ and Tracey/Trindall is more valuable if they're fit.

Dugan needs a rest - but only if Ferris is fit
Wouldnt mind nene in for Ronaldo
Pele for Uele
Toby needs a week as well

And Chad needs 2 months off

Only agree with the first one

Hiroti seems to be ahead of Nene now but still people keep calling for him to be in the team? If he can't look better in training that Goodwin or Hiroti then he presumably won't do much for us on the field.
Ronnie played pretty good anyway.

If Nene and Pele played at their very best .

Loved watching him at Dragons.
Dissappointed when Cowboys got him
Stoked when sharks signed him .
One bad game when undercooked, heaps more upside

No mate sorry, no upside at all. As Burgess has said a few times, all he has is the height to catch a bomb. That's it. He's a very, very, very, very poor man's Edrick Lee.

Id give Dugan a fortnight off, rudolf limited minutes from the bench to keep him moving but give him a rest. Give williams the start as he hasnt been terrible lately. Id love to give sj a break to ensure best fitness for finals but i think he woukd also benefit from the game time also.

Definitely benefit from game time given he's just had three weeks off.
