Only a few things are certain in life, death, taxes and sharks to lose round 1

Rabbits by 10

Will take some time for us to gel especially with all the changes and injuries plus we have a tough opening few rounds - so I just hope we don’t fall to far behind but this happens every year and we usually come good by the end so not too worried just keen to see some footy again ...

Riccio’s come out today and said he’s training the house down apparently.

I didn't see him in latest album but last two he has just been sadly jogging by himself.
Didn't spot Xerri either.

Woods has a red vest on but running okay. Milne (I think) also in red vest and has knee strapped.
SJ looks happy and healthy.

Ronnie is training with knee taped up but not vest. No strapping for Fifita or BHU who some sources still say were in doubt for round 1 but played trial.

From Hooper

The Sharks have confirmed Josh Morris will be selected in the centres for Cronulla’s round one clash with South Sydney as the club continues to try and resolve how to handle his repeated request for a release.
Facing a lack of backline options with Matt Moylan and Josh Dugan both unavailable, Cronulla coach John Morris is expected to select Morris and Jesse Ramien in the centres with rookie Will Kennedy to play fullback.
Young gun centre Bronson Xerri is also racing the clock to be fit for round one and will need to undergo a fitness test after off-season shoulder surgery and picking up a minor groin injury.
Josh Dugan has also returned to regular training for Cronulla and is hopeful of making a return over the next fortnight.

that will depend on who plays better out of katoa and kennedy, but i dare say wing as he is coming back from a knee issue

With his injury he might actually be more open to playing wing..that's if you believe he's having a hissy fit

When is the side named? This arvo?

5pm I think

I'm actually keen to see the Jets and Flegg team, maybe because there are more unknowns and I think there really wont be many surprises in the first grade squad

I'm keen to see who gets the non-obvious jersey for us, Mags or Hunt... or Boogs if you believe a lot of the predicted lineups)

But interested in the Jets too (I probably won't know who most of the Flegg guys are anyway)
