We had a pretty poor 1st half I thought, we can't expect to win these games with a very low completion rate like we had in the 1st half then too many penalties. Much better in the 2nd half, it's only very early on with a rather young team, we'll only get better from here. Kennedy & Katoa really impressed in our backline, Rudolph did well for his debut, he deserves to keep his spot. Tracey was alright, made a few good runs, I really thought if he dummied at the end though he would have been through to score the chance of the winner unfortunately.

I love the nuts factor we seem to have developed. Ramien kept playing the ball 3 feet off the mark. Katoa was popping up all over the ****ing place. Mulitalo head-butting the ground. Williams wanted to choke the opposition out. Come at me ****ers!

haha totally agree. Let Bomber be the nice, sensible face of the team while the players are going through whatever bonkers emotional journey works to have a good performance

I haven’t watched the whole game just the highlights. Appears we did some good things and some dumb things. Really should have won with that last pass from Tracey.

Anyway, we move on.

to be honest i thought last night in patches we were better than last year. SJ especially really had a go without doing anything overly stupid. I think u cut a few silly errors out, that game was ours by more than 2 tries

Agree if we aimed up in that last minute of the first half and Tracey made that pass we’d have won comfortably. We just need to get in a position to win games and we will win more than we lose.

In your head, rent free
the rabbits were very lucky, that try just on half time leads back from a kick that should have gone dead but took 2 nasty bounces for kennedy

the try for lowe was also off johnsons legs when kennedy had it covered

we should have won that game, it is why i am pissed off now

Sleazy Rabbits , never take their hands off the ball of the tackled player , impossible to play the ball fast , was good to see Cook eventually cop an elbow to his head out of frustration , of a tackled Shark

But no need for an HIA...
And Roberts didn't serve a full 10 minutes off either. Nice being one of the favoured clubs.

The year they won the competition, they grappled as well as the Storm ever has, and like the Storm, they still heavily rely on slowing down the play the ball.

The hands on the ball garbage has to be policed better.

Nah held it and Graham tried to use it on the Tracey-Morris forward pass call.
Ref said no way.

Wonder if he could have said something like 'I challenge that Rabbitohs had players offside' and get the play reviewed. Chances are one of them was off-side and we'd pick up a penalty and get a new set in attacking field position.
Assume you can't do that for whatever reason though.

Probably not , but I like where you're coming from.
Find some excuse to challenge IF the original circumstance doesn't allow it AND you have nothing to lose.

Worth a shot.

Roy Masters raised an interesting scenario recently. Opposition scores a try from a scrum, review it saying the ball wasn't fed in the middle.

That's the rule, would be interesting.

Might not be able to challenge something ref doesn’t make a call on ie knock on ref makes a decision and you can challenge but can’t challenge a non existent (in eyes of ref) scrum situation, or an offside ref hasn’t ruled on
