I thought him and BHU were both far less involved/dominant. If we manage to get them both playing like the last month and Toby like last week our middles will be untouchable.
Agreed. We need them to set the tone for rest of the team.

They literally have all the ability in the world to dominate but just go in and out of these phases… It literally might be because they’re not ready to be the head honchos but in reality that’s exactly what they are for us.

They need to realise this and go full throttle, Toby did exactly this and Fifita understands and does exactly this whenever he comes on, someone needs to relay that message to them

In your head, rent free
i also dont think we give them enough minutes and for a long time against the cowboys we were outsized, our middles were finucane mcinnes and wade

toby played 46 minutes out of 93, bhu played 24, which is unacceptable and hunt played 37

Chad can you let Fitz know that Hunt and BHU need to be our hitmen and realise they are the leaders in our forward pack when they are on the field, half the time it was the smallest forward in McInnes leading the way for us

Absolutely my thoughts also. I was disappointed, they seemed a bit soft. McInnes and Rudolph actually ran with some passion.

Yeah Toby needed to come back on earlier. Hunt was decent in his first stint, but only played 7 minutes in his second stint. I think this was due to the Tracey sin bin. Fitz must have wanted someone more mobile defending with 12, as Hunt came back on in the 83rd when Tracey returned. That sort of disrupted game would make it hard to get yourself going. Same for BHU, 15 mins in his first stint, in which 3 tries were scored. Then only plays 10 after half time.

Which is why there is a very reasonable argument to just give Fifitas 16 minutes to BHU and Hunt and have a utility on bench.

Yeah I made comment the other day about the way hunt was used due to the limited minutes he played.

Neither of them have the mongrel gene which we really miss in our pack.

I'd love to mate, but I think I'll leave him alone this week. He has enough on his plate rather than talking to simpletons like me.

Couldn't help thinking our big boys were getting blown away by the speed of the Cowboys. They tore us apart through the ruck for a while there. Might have had something to do with the minutes.

Our packs haven't really had an enforcer since the days of Steve Kneen and Les Davidson. That's part of the reason why our finals record is poor. Other packs bully us in big games.

He gives us so much needed momentum that other plays can’t.
He's also doing this from the centres though with his early set hit ups. If you move him to the middle, our new centre might not be as valuable in this area, another middle has to drop out + Talakai is then only on the field for 40ish minutes. Until the next ET falls in our lap, Talakai needs to be our centre IMO.

Just sign an even better centre then, easy

I think our pack will get there, they are just a bit too green at the moment. We are lacking in big game experience, and it shows as we weren't able to up the tempo and intensity. If we can't win it all this year, we really need that prelim or GF birth. Something to really light the fire within the side to push to the next level.
