Easy.

By judging the results of the assistant players (aka the reserves).

If you look at Price's coaching record in the juniors (Flegg to Toyota cup) its pretty good reading.

His record as a head coach stank and he cops all the blame but like any footy side poor results are generally not the fault of the one person/factor.

I was not aware of his junior record and some say he had not a lot of say in recruitment for the Club apparently Doust was calling a lot of the shots. But while he was there they went backwards and they were found to be a soft pack especially in the front row.

And I think there defensive effort was very poor. I am fairly sure he said in a TV interview he was looking to attack more than they had under Benny this turned out to be at the expense of their Defensive effort.

As I said I hope I am wrong and that he has learnt a lot as a result, like all of us I am hoping they really work well together and get us back on track for next year.

happy for him to be on board! he is the best qualified assistant coach we have had for a while (since flanno i think) - and the more knowledge around the team the better...

i feel like our future isn't totally in Flanno's predictable boring hands.... cant see how this move is a bad thing!

I think you could argue Peter Sharp was way more qualified than Steven price

Sharp was more qualified! Just had a look at the Drags League Unlimited site interesting reading, appears as though they are not to upset about Price leaving.

A friend at work who's a big Dragon's fan and really know his stuff when it comes to the Dragons was also glad he was gone but thinks he was a good assistant and all the players really liked him. Don't think he had a huge say in recruitment too ?

true. I think it's pretty much impossible as a spectator to tell if a coach is good or bad. A gazillion things are going on behind the scenes that we have no idea about.

Maybe he can help with getting Farrell/Beale over here?
