Im a Celtic Crusaders fan from Wales UK we play in National Lge 1 this coming season ( 1 Down from Super League ) after winning Lge 2 last season . I watched a number of games from NRL last season and decided that the Sharks were going to be my team in Aus . Dont know much about the Sharks but did enjoy the games I saw last season so im hoping that on here i will learn more and have a good laugh along the way ???

Hey mate welcome to Sharks Forever, good to have you aboard. I'm sure you'll learn plenty about the mighty black white and blue and as you say have more than a few laughs along the way as well. You're the first Welshman I know of on here, although we have had a Hull supporter from England on from time to time. I think former Shark Josh Hannay is flying out to join your Crusaders shortly, also another former Shark Darren Mapp is already at the club.

We're all pretty excited about the upcoming season, a lot of the building blocks for a successful future were put in place by Ricky Stuart last season in his first year at the club, we have a committed new CEO in Tony Zappia and the Toyota Park renovations are well underway. On top of that we have some exciting new signings in the likes of Blake Green from Parramatta and Karl Filiga from the Bulldogs, so things are looking promising. So congratulations on becoming a Cronulla supporter, but a word of warning: two qualities you will need in abundance are patience and also a healthy dose of optimism - as long-suffering supporters we have had to endure 40 years without a premiership, so when the NRL trophy finally finds a home in the Shire you can rest assured that the party will be worth waiting for!

As a pom you'll love being a Sharks fan mate. The boys in the black, white and blue will provide endless things to have a whinge about.

Welcome to our torment, enjoy your stay and remaining traces of sanity.

As a Cronulla supporter you will find a high level of sarcasm is also a pre-requisite.

Cheers for the welcome chaps im sure we will ave a great laff along the way replying to some of the threads Josh Hannay was at Crusaders last year but has returned home this season cant remember who with but i will find out and yes Darren Mapp had a good season just past and we have just signed Mark Lennon from Hull KR if im not mistaken looks a good signing on our part. The NRL has a good following in UK it did have a better one i feel but SKY TV replaced it this year with live NL games which im glad of because my daughter (11) was out mascot for the Crusaders live game with Oldham. I get my fix from a mate who has subscribed to an Irish sports channel who show NRL and i always watch Big Pond videos on the NRL website .Anyway thanks again for the welcome Santa should be bringing me a Sharks coat and cap for xmas so all these bloody welsh will look at them and say who ...lol wales thinks RU is a superior game just shows what they know .....Oh and by the way i dont know if i should admit this im not Welsh im errrr ENGLISH ........oh well its out now ...lol speak soon lads and lassies
