serious question not directed at anyone but just curious

Why would anyone listen to a podcast for 30+ mins of their day to a person that doesnt have/had an official position in that sport or as a reporter ? Just an outsider

I get where your coming from with this Wiz. There is a few podcasts I enjoy related to sport, history, etc but they usually feature at least one expert in the field with an everyman partner.

Tbh I quite enjoy the Outlaws show Terry and Dan put on YouTube.

Hello Sport is a popular one but I've never understood the appeal
That could just be the Manly stink though

I was listening to give a fellow sharks fan support. But the constant “I know better than you attitude” I often read in these forums is making me reconsider.

Running a podcast doesn’t automatically mean your view / opinion is right and everyone else can go **** themselves.

I’d listen to Fins Up criticise Chad on repeat over listening to a single minute of James Hooper on 360

Listened to the Fins Up podcast last night. Lots of good discussions about how mediocre we are at the moment, and how our forwards are just not cutting it. Have to say I agree.

Looking at the game last week, a mate of mine and myself noticed just how slow we were coming off our line, no matter where the play was. Whereas the Broncos always seemed to be in our face. This was especially so in the first 10-15 minutes. Only penalties and set restarts got us anywhere near their 20.

Finucane is turning out to be a real disappointment. He can't seem to play for more than 30 minutes in total and looks totally gassed out there way too soon. Wade Graham is a shadow of the player he used to be and is stopping guys like Tommy and Jesse C playing more minutes or playing at all. The only reason I can see Fitz having them on there is that they are experienced. But it is not helping our go forward.

It's a familiar story across the board, but when your forwards don't fire, your playmaker is going to find it so much harder and we saw that with Nicho last Saturday.

Playing Melbourne in Melbourne could not have come at a worse time but it also might be the catalyst to give ourselves another kick up the bum and realise that games need to be won rather than just expecting the two points will just fall into our lap.

We haven't had good line speed since 2016. It's super frustrating.

Does anyone else remember how we were playing around mid last season? Only one or two "hit ups" a set, always probing and pulling at the defensive line. It felt like we were always asking questions – no tackles wasted.

We seemed to move away from it in the second half of the season, but IMO we've never looked better.

I enjoy the differing opinions and seeing what others think of the club. Also anything is better than being alone with my own thoughts

Just to add to this, but fan podcasts are so much better than officials in the sport

Id listen to any fan podcast over a matty johns or paul kent piece

Kent is a reporter

Johns is a media personality and ex player

Both fit his criteria
Kent is a journalist - grub, would never listen to him

Johns I would listen to

this is a safe space
You should surprise Dan with a few callers/audio messages roasting the **** out of him. It would be a fun and fitting tribute.
