Just seen the highlights on foxsport. Bird looked like he got pumped yet was declared the winner. Jeese Gallen looked good though from what I seen. Real bulldog attitude. I think the sharks boys who watched that would really appreciate that performance. And some inspiration would have be drawn from it throughout the team

That was awesome. I was deadset against him fighting as just a distraction for next season, but was totally wrong. It's actually a great boost to 2013 campaign... Pomeroy and Robson were there at the leagues club watching, and would have to be inspired!

I can picture Gallen doing the Rocky thing, shadow-boxing through the back-streets of Taren Point, then finishing up the steps of the Leagues Club.

Yeah true, puts a negative spin on things, just posting it in case anyone was interested. It didn't even mention he'd won the fight until halfway through, and then dismissed it as being insignificant.
