With respect to Pat Woods, I thought that we had Kia signed up as the new Stadium sponsor and it was on that basis that we had said "No Thanks" to Toyota. It was at that point that the ASADA situation blew up and Kia withdrew their support.

My understanding of Shark Energy Drink was that the company didn't have the introductory success they were hoping for and so the payments to the club weren't forthcoming in a timely matter.

This is how I understood the sponsorship negotiations.

Shark energy drink were never going to get their money worth out of us as sad as it is because they would be a perfect sponsor

I'm also of the belief that the Remondis deal is significantly higher than the Toyota deal. So too would the Sanofi Aventis deal of been worth far more than Shark Energy.

Woods wasn't sacked for underperformance.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is another high profile casualty.

Guys, my feedback from the sharks lunch last week was around the following, membership up 90%, merchandise up 32%, crowd attendance up 15%, corporate hospitality up 29% and that lunch was one of the best sports lunches I have ever been to! I also know the Sharks had been winging about the Toyota deal for years, and now the club has a better deal in Remondis! Other new sponsors this year are Fitness First, Qantas Credit Union, DLS, Rydges, AVS security, SBA, Holden car deal, etc.

Wouldn't be the first useless centre we've gifted a job to in our marketing department...Nepotism may be making a comeback!

Bloody hell, we will end up with Zappia back shortly.

How can we go backwards so quickly? Four years of eliminating this 'jobs for our mates' culture and we're back to 2009 in the blink of an eye.

Makes me sad.

The fact they have a preferred candidate to replace Woods before there has even been an ad placed points to the new level of c******n apparent in the joint. How the fugg would they know he's preferred when they could simply not of seen anyone else's CVs yet?

Isn't there still a vacant board position too. Which lackey will fill that?

It would be nice if they had a replacement who had say, i dunno a masters degree, or maybe 10-15 years experience at managing at ummm a national or international brand in a sporting market.
