Lot of assumptions going on here without people really knowing anything as to if and why Woods has been sacked.
I mean, I dont know, was he actually doing a good job? Our sponsor woes have been going on for a couple years now.

I know nothing about him except that he was previously employed by the Reds, however the sharks have always been a tough gig and particularly the last few months. 6 or 7 months doesn't seem a reasonable amount of time to turn things around but I suppose if this is any indication the new blokes contract should be reassessed in 6 months time.

Back on topic folks, I really don't think this is the place for anyone to be making personal character assessments on someone who has not made themselves a public figure.

You can't just sack someone unless there are performance/conduct issues or its a redundancy. If its redundancy , perhaps there is an argument for it given the strained financial position of the club?

It's not redundancy. You can't legally advertise or fill the same position/role immediately after making someones role redundant. The board already have someone in mind (as General Manager I presume)

He also worked at Brisbane Lions and Newcastle Knights (if my memory serves me correctly).

Had a very good team at the reds, Sharks team is nowhere near as good

Wasn't he brought in to get top dollar?

I'm not privvy to any information, but I do remember it being openly stated that we have undersold certain aspects in the past.

The ultimatums don't surprise me one bit. If the ASADA thing had not happened, you'd have to argue we would be in a much better position in terms of sponsorship dollars compared to previous years, would you not agree?
