Bird was brilliant, maybe just pipped Gallen or Hoffman for MOM. And Tupou was superb off the bench. NSW play a bit like the Sharks (well, especially with our two key players) in that they rely on dominant forwards and that makes the games punishing, but even when dominating the other side can score a freaky try or two and be close.
NSW were much better than the score indicated (much like the Sharks often are), but I'm glad people are starting to see the super star qualities of Bird and Gallen. During the call, Daley (I think it was) quoted Gallen and Bird as the key men to wrap up the game.
Did every else think that NSW were particulalry dominant while Gallen was on, and lost that a bit when he went off?
And the queenslanders must hate Bird running at them because they hardly ever got a good shot on him.
Still, they will be much better if they get Price and Lockyer for any of the rest of the series...
