You're so defending of the players. Mate its nothing to do with age, not like a young half finding his way. The issue is he is soft as, absolute powder puff in his runs and tackles. Get rid of him.
For young middles it has EVERYTHING to do with age. Halves need experience. Middles need TIME.

Were Toby, BHU and Royce soft at his age? Oh that's right, they weren't in the NRL so we don't know.

How about Andrew Fiifta? Still a benchie.
How about Matt Prior? Second row and bench.

Developing middles takes time. You are trying to make them big and build their motor at the same time, and these things are at odds with each other. Be patient. If he sucks at 28, find this post, quote it and tell me I was wrong... and I'll agree with you.

Makes sense.

Which means that the Players Association aren't doing their job on getting them properly compensated for a shorter peak career.

Wasn't there a time where we just widely accepted that most middles didn't peak till their late 20s?

Yeah, but now that Payne Haas exists we widely accept that most middles suck if they are not as good as Haas by their 24th birthday.

Just let this sink in...

Brailey ... Born September 1998
Hazelton.... Born February 1999
Trindall... Born July 1999
Kaufusi... Born August 1999
Wilton... Born September 1999
Mulitalo... Born November 1999

Isn't it amazing how people are willing to forgive some of those other players because they are young, but Kaufusi is ready for the scrap heap because Parra gave him a bunch of games during Covid before he was really ready. Also Tricky is the next immortal but Brailey who is 9 months older is hot garbage.

Think long term for all of these players guys.
Let him go next season if he doesnt step up, fill that spot with someone better for 2025

Supposedly he’s on 400k
Think they’ve done okay by him

They can't.
You’re overthinking it. Just drop him to reserve grade and tell him he’s not wanted then he’ll ask to be let go and we can probably get a player out of the trade
