Oregon’s stats were really great Friday night. Better then Uele, but no knock on him. He looked especially damaging late in the game. Good call by Fitz to start him, I’m calling that he’ll take over Rudolph’s role till he’s back.

better the more minutes he plays. Has a good work rate and doesn’t miss many tackles.
Was guilty of not pushing up quick enough on the Roosters' first try though (24th minute). Might need to keep his stints down under 20.

It may just be an adjustment to the demands of starting. Did he do that at the Eels? At the back end of the game he looked better than any forward on the ground for me. This week will be interesting. Up against a weaker pack.

No. He rarely started, and the majority (~75%) of his game was in stints under 20 minutes. His normal usage was playing ~15-17 minutes either side of half time, similar to how Jack Williams was used on the weekend (and in 2021).

It's not surprising that he looked fresh at the back end. He played the first 26 minutes, had a rest for about an hour, then played the final 15.

Here is Kaufusi for the Eels last year.

I’d like to see if he can become a 50 minute prop. Give him the first 25 minutes for a few weeks and see how he goes. His runs last week at times made it look like we had two Talakais out there.

I wouldn’t say that either had better raw numbers. Kaufusi had a few more runs, but Uele had a few more tackles. That just tells me the Roosters had more ball during the period Uele was on but Kaufusi wasn’t.

Yeah - it’s all about growth and development for him. He’s still young. It looks like he has already overtaken Hunt in the eyes of the coach.

I asked for williams to start last week, but what would I know. Keep this bloke there. Him and BHU are a beast of a duo as starting front rowers

One of those players who just looks better because we win, been doing the same job all year imo
Yup. 15-20 either side of half time is the standard for him. Starting has just made that the first and last 20 instead of the middle 40.
