Maybe some just had really low expectations. Imo he is playing exactly as advertised. Does his job for 30-40 minutes, and never for more than about 25 minutes straight. Has a balanced game with a good mix of attacking involvement and defensive work rate.

Exactly what he did for Eels, which is obviously what Fitz wanted him to do. Probably improved even.
Remember he is 3 years younger than Royce, 3.5 years younger than Rudolf, 4.5 younger than BHU.
Still plenty of upside in him.

Given he isn't much of a highlights reel guy he's easy to wish we had someone better than when things aren't going well for the team too.
Although he has certainly been doing a good job as a starter.

I wasn't expecting that much from this signing but what a reliable consistent player he is!
Doesn't make mistakes and has his head on - for example you see most weeks him looking to pop an offload but with hands around him and the ball he decides better of it, secures the ball and takes the tackle, plays it safe nothing silly or low %. Has a good ptb as well.
He just isn't a player you have to worry about being a problem for us, does his job and doesn't put his own team under pressure.
But he is capable of some really strong carries up field on occasion as well

Is really direct with his runs too, doesn't shy away from the contact. He'sgot a simple role and just gets on it with it. Not going to be the guy doing the flashy play for the points, but is vital to us getting to that point.
Like more than 1 player he has had a couple try line lapses but that's really the only thing that has stood out as an actual issue.
At least one of them was just over eagerness and went up too fast

We dont need him to be a highlight reel player though. Thats not what we paid for. He’s doing a job and he’s doing it acceptably at the moment I feel.
