With Xerri now gone and Moylan, Duges and SJ off contract at the end of next season, I reckon we have in the vicinity of ~3.3m to play with from 1 November this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we keep atleast one of those players. Maybe SJ most likely?

i wouldn't mind Finucane if we don't have a good lock by then.

Good lists HB.

Here are the players I like most from those lists:

Kotoni Staggs (I'd go all out for him - he's a very good player and still young)
Dale Finucane
Maiko Sivo
Lachlan Fitzgibbon
Paul Vaughan (althought maybe at the wrong end of his career)
Josh Aloiai

There are others on there that are better but in my opinion they'd take up a heap of cap space and they're not realistically going to leave their present club. Players like Tedesco, Latrell, Ponga, JAC, Bromwich, Jarome Hughes etc.

As far as starters go we will need:

a Dugan replacement (Staggs looks good but likely expensive)
Tracey may be able to replace SJ otherwise might be looking to spend some money here
Woods would also be gone and Fifita in last year if he is even still playing so likely will see some new faces in props even if they are depth behind the likes of BHU & Pele
Chad has a player option for this season and the next, if Trindall hasn't pushed Chad out by 2022 he probably isn't our man so we need someone new for depth to come in and challenge Chad - I doubt club would want to splash big money on two brand new halves.
FB is to hard to guess, if Kennedy is good enough to keep but Moylan is still on our books up until this stage Kennedy may have already left

Well before then we need to establish two wingers and a lock - we know who the contenders are for this year but none of them are secure (obviously we all like Ronnie but he hasn't cemented anything long term yet)

Staggs surely wouldn't cost as much as Dugan though? Guess it depends on what we think his worth is.

Wouldn't be surprised if we extended Woods but on a lower contract. Obviously that depends on how this year pans out.

Same first thoughts there, HB. Feels like we'll have chance with the juniors coming through than signings.

With so little quality available there'll be plently of competiton to sign anyone who looks half capable. Blokes like Graham have hardly lit it up over a fair stint in first grade. Sivo could end up getting the farm... Staggs would be a very solid gain. There'd almost be a place back here for JBird if he were fit... that's when I knew it was slim pickings...

matt burton at 6 is the one i would be targetting

Ironically, the only first grade game he's played was against us.
At least he doesn't look like a total douchebag. Good start.

Yeah he seems like a bit of a beast. Is he a Brisbane lad? Pretty hard to lure them away.

I would like us to look at a new halfbackk or 5/8. I would be happy to not resign chad but re sign Johnson on a 2 year deal (not a mil a year but)
