I know its early but i was just wondering who you guys think will be the blues halfback and five-eight this year. Last week on the Sunday footy show Ben Ikin said that they should put Kimmorley and Dykes in the halves due to the face that they are playing reasonable footy and that they have a lot of experience playing together. I know its early but he has a point. Thurston and Lockyer have countless amounts of games experience together and they really gel well together. If NSW choose other than Kimmorley and Dykes then their only going to have a weeks worth of playing together.

Anyway who should be there?? Orford? Anasta? Gower? Hornby? Kimmorley? Carney? Mullen?

whoever they choose they arn't going to be at QLDs halves level.

HA! Lyon please piss him off. Noddy or Orford are the only way to go for the number 7

orford has had no footy this year, kimmorley on the other hand has had plenty and has shown that he is in way good form,he aint playing for himself these days, rather for the team, and that is why he is going so good,he aint trying too hard,he is playing the type of footy that he was when he was at the storm,he may not b making as many breaks etc etc but he his guiding the team around well and settling things down when times get tough during a game.i think ricky has alot to do with that. And that, kimmorley can bring too the NSW side.which is pretty much what ricky would have bought to NSW if he was still coach.what do u guys thinks?
P.S.to have dykes in a NSW jersey would b awesome,he deserves it IMO.but unfortunatley it aint ever gonna happen.

i would love to see Noddy redeem himself after THAT pass. Sure he would love to settle it in his own head as well. He'd rise to the occasion im sure. Ikin makes a point though, about combos. How good would it be to see Noddy And Dykes carve it up in blues jerseys, and it would be interesting to see who steps up at the sharkies while they're away. Imagine the confidance they'd come back with as well.

If he didn't get an Australian Jersey for the end of year test, in the last year Lang was the coach he will never get a SOO or test jersey.

Unfortunately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, I know we are all one eyed Sharks fans on here, but how can anyone say that Noddy and Dykes should be the NSW halves combo, when they are yet to prove that they are even the best halves combo at our club???

Having said that, the halves cupboard looks pretty bare for NSW doesn't it? There are plenty of people who reckon Anasta is overrated, but he had a pretty fair game yesterday and he has a lot of ability. I can't see the likes of Gower or Orford doing the job, and there are not too many names that stand out as viable options. One name that does stand out for me is Kurt Gidley, surely he has to be in there somewhere, be it halfback, five-eighth or even fullback. He is a sensational player, and our guys will have to watch him closely on Monday night as he is a potential gamebreaker.

The other thing we've got to remember is that they always reward the guys who played last year by picking them first, even if they're not performing well this year.

Well, he seems fat and slow enough to be a tighthead prop in union ... someone tell Julie to either stop baking pies, or leave them in front of the treadmill!

It would be good Noddy and Dykes the halves combo but it aint going to happen, isnt Laurie Daley one of the selectors. Also they lost Ten games in a row last year playing together and have won 2 together this year, i know new coach, new year but they haven't had enough time to prove anything yet.
