snow hows this one from ya boy 79th Min: TRY Dean Collis rubs salt into the wounds of the Maggies faithful. He charges down a kick and runs 60 metres to score in the corner after the bell. Conversion unsuccessful.

Cliff Young could run 60 metres to score a try too if the opposition knew the game was gone...

With Canterbury-Bankstown on the BYE this weekend and the Vulcans also having a big win this weekend and The Blue Bags getting over Manly, the top 4 look fairly set.

Interesting to note that Newtown hasn't had a BYE yet though.

Pity 1st grade can't use Beau Champion.

From all reports we were close to signing Beau Champion in the off season. In the end he decides to sign with Melbourne. Now through our joint venture with the Storm he ends up playing with our reserve grade team.

Talk about rubbing salt into the wound.

If he had signed with us there is no way he would of been anywhere near reserve grade.

Very sad for Champion hopefully he gets on well with a few of our blokes and asks to be allowed out of his contract to play for us. Very wishful thinking.

Thanks for the report Fitz.

:good:

Same here, although Gordon is good too... There's not much in it other than Stapo is safer under the high ball. IMO

True, Gordo does have his speed going for him i suppose, I suppose we will just have to wait and see who he is replacing, shame is the sharks website never updates anything
