The NSW Cup Sharks will take on the Auckland Vulcans on a soggy Sunday at Leichhardt Oval after heavy overnight rain ensured a wet playing surface.
With the NYC Sharks going down on Friday night, the Tony Herman coached NSW Cup Sharks were the last team standing for the Cronulla club, with a Grand Final appearance beckoning for todays winning outfit.
If the Sharks were able to come out on top it would crash the New Zealand Warriors party, with the Vulcans, the Warriors NSW Cup feeder team, looking to join their NRL and NYC colleagues at ANZ Stadium next Sunday.
The Warriors were successful in beating the Melbourne Storm 20-12 in the NRL last night, while their Toyota Cup side scored an emphatic 64-0 win over the Bulldogs to book a place with the Cowboys in their premiership decider.
The Sharks had their final training session at Toyota Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the mood positive and confidence high on the eve on Sunday's big game.
Their were no injury concerns amongst the Sharks playing group, with two Melbourne Storm players in Sione Kite and Jack Afamasaga joining the squad for the important clash.
The game at Leichhardt Oval kicks off at 1.00pm, with all Sharks fans encouraged to get out and to support the NSW Cup team.
The winner of the Sharks v Vulcans match will meet the victor from the 3.00pm game between the Bulldogs and Bears in the Grand Final next Sunday.
