There's alot of talent and very good players in the NRL - an exercise like this just shows how much the media/commentators exaggerate abilities and how much excess money gets thrown at players. As a result we end up with alot of 'over hyped or over rated' players, not necessarily bad ones.

I like Aubesson, don't see him as overrated.

over rated? blokes is under rated if anything, he's not flashy but a good player and hard worker - important part of that roosters pack/team. does alot of good for them and makes more big plays in big moments than you would expect or might otherwise relise

In no order, ( and leaving sharks out) and maybe all in their prime I may not have chosen them. But anyways

Jennings- harsh maybe always had speed but jeez he seems to be nothing but a ball hog now.

Chambers- although I love him for not seeing a unmarked Cronk on the inside 2nd October 2016 @ approx 9.20pm

I was going to go Milford somewhere in there as well, to me the hype or $$$ just don’t match the output of these 4.

I despise Chambers as a player and a **** bloke but at his peak he was one of the best centres in the game

Hunt never been the same after dropping the ball in GF, agree over rated now but he once had a very good looking career trajectory and was a special player for brissy

Agree on Hess not really rated or talked about much anymore, most relise he sucks and hasn't done much in years.

Don't agree on Falou, he carves up Rugby & League, someone worth the big dollars

3. Mitch Aubesson - very overrated but a great ‘clubman’ apparently
2. Boyd Cordner - credit to him though, ordinary player who has won premierships, SOO series, captained Australia
1. Dane Gagai - kind of marquee player Sharks will buy in massive overpayment

Cordner is a good player, don't understand this view that he is a plodder or over rated. Has been a more consistent player than Wade or Josh Jackson. Can run a line, pass and tackles all day. Better than solid

Put Gagai in a QLD jersey and he is a beast

Mitchell Moses when doing anything other than going himself or kicking the ball inside the opposition 20. Every time I hear a commentator say he is a great play-maker because he has so many try assists I feel like throwing my beer at the TV.

I reckon Hess would not get a mention on here if it wasn't for Burgess's constant put downs.
