I keep saying it - we have the best bench in the comp that's getting us through - Heino, Bakuya, Latimore and Paulo/Seggy. Keep healthy boys

Bird played really well. But we still wouldve won without him. I love him in the side but he is the replaceable.

Our bench isn't the most impressive on paper but it's up there in terms of effectiveness and consistency despite being 'light on' kegs wise

I thought Latimore did a good job today, just kept is simple as he does but some handy tackles in defense and safe with his hitups

Boogs still good for an error in the play the ball which is frustrating but he's still making some fantastic runs up the middle

Paulo continues to add good value from the bench

Wonder if Lewy picked up an arm injury/burner? he was just grabbing at players late in the game, didn't look right

Goulds kids will be given it to him right now ha ha

Stoked with how we are going at the moment, defense makes me real proud. We could do something special again this year as we have shown we have still got it and I think there is even better to come.

Panthers are far off the pace and it showed

We could possibly end up a better team this year, less x factor but improved defence and our attacking structure is benefiting from Maloney and Chad knowing each other's games.

Some thoughts:

• Our guys brought the fire and brimstone in defence today, the biggest reason we won the game, it wore Penrith down and as they got more frustrated and desperate, the gaps opened up for us. That's two straight games without conceding a try. Can't ask for much more then that.
• Wade Graham must be kicking the door down for Origin surely, the comps new hitman, halfbacks have Wade Graham nightmares.
• Our ball control and discipline was subpar for a lot of that game but one thing we're able to do is "defend our mistakes". We make a mistake and we've been able to defend the ensuing attack. An important quality for a premiership winning team.
• Capewell was decent today, did his job out of position. In saying that if Beale isn't fit I'd like to see Lee or Ramien picked.
• Mentally our guys are so damn strong. The intensity was brilliant all game and carried over from the Melbourne game. No reason why we can't do it week in week out, especially with some big games coming up. I really think that Knights game was the wake up call these blokes needed. Since then it's like a switch has been flicked in these blokes.
• Chad was brilliant today, did his potential next contract no harm.
• Maloney's best game of the year today, great to see as we need him to fire if we're going to be a force.
• That Fifita put down......LOL!
• LOL at the ground announcer trying to drown out the Sharks fans rendition of Up Up Cronulla. Sour grapes much mate? That ground announcer has form in this area, he's a bit of a ********. Great job by the boys on the hill making themselves heard.

Great, it's another soft comp in 2017 😝

One thing I did notice;
The interchange rotation changed this week, Latimore was first on, followed by Bukuya and Hino.. in previous weeks rnd1-5 it's been the other way around!

(I haven't watched last weeks game yet)

Awesome win by the boys. Our defence was excellent and the attack is starting to come along nicely.
Wade Graham was immense today.
