I'm never happy with a loss but we need to put it into perspective.
With 800-900 games worth of experience sitting on the sideline before this match and others carrying niggling injuries (SJ, Dugan) it was always going to be tough against the reigning premiers (who had a blinder last week).
We have a lot of debutants this season and players with less than a handful of games (Nikora, B Brailey, Xerri, Uele, Williams, Katoa). All promising young players with bright futures but will need to accept that they will have rocks and diamond moments. Let's hope their confidence hasn't taken too big a hit and that they come out swinging against the pennies.
We did create early chances and competed for the majority of the game. I know its hard to be patient as the season can slip away very quickly, but if we can stay close enough early on in the season we can push for a good finish when we get all our experience back on deck (hoping sooner rather than when it's too late)!
