Wade was exactly what I was about to ask about .
I know his thumb is crook .
But apart from the Storm game , he's been a passenger this year

I wouldn't go that far, Wade has worked hard but has become predictable

Our left side needs a serious refresh or at the very least some new ideas

We're really missing the pressure he applies with his defence. We're at our best when he and Lewy are terrorising the opposition halves.

We had 5 line breaks Last night and should have at least had 3 tries if we actually had players backing up.

We had more line breaks, more possession, made more meters, less missed tackles, less penalties and less errors. Although lots of these stats were very close.

Four tries from kicks, of which three should have been stopped. Capewells knock on could have gone either way also. On another night we could have won that game.

I agree Proud.

Also thought the refs were **** (both ways).

Credit to Roosters too, their defense was good.

Yep they scrambled fantastically. Honestly didnt notice the refs too much other than the reduced offside calls.

Lacklustre attack with ordinary defence, should b a busy week at training. By far worse game of the year atleast or defence up until last night kept us in games. Not sure where the answer lies hopefully duges back to 1 Moylan 6 get boogs back in there then hope for a little injury free run to try and find our mojo. I hate to think how much all teams now for atleast next 6 weeks are going to b targeting loots and feki best they step up get on same page.

Roosters got away with some insane lethargy in the ruck and Fifita got pinged multiple times for being Fifita.

And the ref allowed both teams to move before the ball cleared the ruck.

And yeah just low quality in general both ways. Missed stuff, called stuff that didn't really matter. Went to video ref for obvious stuff. General garbage.

Yeah I agree. Part of the issue inside the 20 was that they let the Roosters just hold down forever. All those penalties they have been calling for the first four weeks just went away. The Sharks looked great in the other 80m of the field but couldn’t get a quick play the ball at the business end of the field.

Those calling for Flano Jnr to come in should be aware that he plays in the right side. I agree that the team needs changes, but that can’t be one of them. You either bring Moylan back to 6 or you bring in Williams.

I think fans are overestimating what he will bring to our squad at this time... I see him more as a long term Chad replacement as opposed to a currently missing piece. Doesn't help that our puzzle pieces have been scattered all over the shop thanks to injuries and form issues.

His support play is 10 x that of Hodkinson, but thats about the only +

I think we would be going backwards in a lot of other places.

Better off playing Wade at 6 again...

Biggest concern for me from last night was the coaches inference that we competed well.

We are simply horrendous. If we continue to go one out with the new policing of the play the ball we are in for a very long and arduous season. We are still playing a style that requires a very quick play the ball and with new ruck policing it’s not going to happen. We need some 2nd phase footy .... offloads to guys backing up. We are not making the opposition defence work and consequently not scoring points.

Sport is about intent and that’s something we are lacking.

Wtf r u on?

If our style of play needs a fast ruck, and the refs are pulling up people slowing the ruck then our style of play would suit it. U contradicted yourself.

Flanagans remarks about being competitive relate to effort. We tried, thats obvious. And yet again errors and easy possessions through penalties, especially late in the twckle count were our downfall which has been the case since october 3 2016

A few positives from this game...

- Brailey is more involved in the attack. Good to see his game progressing. He looked a genuine threat to create something.

- The defense was still great. 4 tries from kicks and a misread from Hodko.

- Ramien was great for much of the game but those two dumb penalties hurt. If he can play like he did for the first 50 minutes he belongs in the NRL

- The bench were good (outside Segy)

- Lewis is still playing good footy. Hasn’t lost anything.

- Val didn’t suck.
