Honestly, of course that was a disappointing result but I still think we put up a top effort with all the injuries we had before then a few we got during the game, if we had almost a full strength side it probably would have been a completely different result. We put in an effort right till the end, didnt give up despite all our injuries we had.

I don't know how many players Parra had out apart from 1 who was already out. I doubt they had as many players out that we did & Gutherson made me laugh when he said in the end how they had plenty of players out aswell, I doubt they had as many as we did.

Their players may be comparable in quantity but certainly not quality.

Brown, Brown, Will Smith and Ma’u

Not really comparable to Shaun, Wade, Gallen and Moylan (with injury issues in game also).

Wouldn’t trade any one of those players for any of ours.

Do we actually know what is the problem with the Sutton brothers and us ?

Serious question...its been going on for years.

He spoke to Fifita with zero respect tonight.

I once had a ref who literally **** himself in n a game. Bad case of food poisoning.

Next game we had him he came into the change room ore game and overheard us laughing about it.

Never got a fair game from him again after that.

Reminds me of this one time I **** myself while reffing a game. I remember reffing another game with the team it happened in front of, and I walked into the locker and caught them laughing about it... I never blew those ****s a single penalty in any game after that - **** ‘em.

Well. Pretty boring game really. A few lucky tries to parra and we had no real Impact in attack but were we ever given we had Chad and yung flan. I am excited about the future of nikora, Williams and xerri.

I think that game last week with the humidity really took it out on the boys, hence, Shaun’s late stratching.

Was disappointed last night but upon reflection and now being sober I think maybe not as bad as I initially thought. Effort was there. Throwing a young half in at the last minute has to be disruptive. Missed SJs kicking game badly
Dugan at fullback is bit iffy but for a side with plenty of stars missing it wasn't disastrous

Just watched the first half replay and am about to watch the second half.

It’s been said before but with the amount of players out we did well to be only down 12-6 at HT. Had it not been for Feki’s stuff up, we could have gone in even.

In the first ten minutes we had two penalties go against us for strips, Fox decided not to show replays. Hmmm.

Two blatant forward passes from Parra a few minutes later also went unnoticed and were called “flat” by the commentators.

No penalties for us in the first half, were Parra really that disciplined?

Can’t wait to see them square up in the second half.

Ok, just watched the second half.

Really proud of the boys with the effort despite our injuries during the game.

The good points:

Despite kicking to Fergo too much, I thought Townsend was the best for us. Tried hard all night and ran the team as best he could with the amount of troops down.
Even though he didn’t get a try, I thought Xerri was outstanding in his first game. Broke tackles, looked dangerous and the way he cruised path Gutherson to chase that ball was scintillating. Gutherson is no slouch by any means.
Matty Prior and Fifs we’re very strong, did they go off at all? I don’t think Fifita did.
We tried to play attacking football, lots of second phase play and we seemed to control the ball better.

Things that pissed me off:

Referee performance below par, not just for us but some even went against Parra that were ridiculous.
Forward passes and blatant ones by Parra not called.
The constant hero worship of Parra by the Fox commentators. We bag the Ch 9 ones so often but these guys were horrendous.
Blocker was downright embarrassing in some of the things he was saying.
Mitchell Moses comes into Origin contention? Please, give me a break. He’s nowhere near that level, what the hell are they talking about.
We constantly kicked to Fergo. Stupid.
They gave Johnny Morris credit for Feki’s second try as a very brave and innovative move and good to see it worked well. They don’t do much research do they, we’ve put that move on at least once before during Flanno’s reign.
Feki needs to go when we get Moylan back. I know he scored two tries but he was gifted one and just had to catch the ball for the other. Xerri takes his spot for mine.

Well who knows what team we’re going to put out next week.

There’ll be no Moylan or Woods for sure with big doubts on Dugan and Morris as well.

Good post, and agree with all of that Chad.
Special mentions to Capewell and JayBray. Capes' best game probably ever. Jayden really stepped up his involvement and improved the quality of his contribution.

All in all I'm feeling good about our depth, and looking forward to not needing it again!

I remember watching it but can't recall exactly which part of the game. Was more than half-cut watching in a noisy pub.
