3 things I like here.
1. Chad has gone back down to qualify for the NYC and lead them through the finals series.
2. Mills gets another taste and hopefully takes what he learns against the cowboys back down to the NYC in the finals series.
3. Collis back in. He is our best centre and hopefully is playing for a contract. I pray he sees some early ball and silences a few on here.

have to agree. may as well give Mills a run and Chad needs to qualify for NYC - now he can have two weeks to settle back into it before finals.

Collis hasn't really had a decent opportunity in first grade, and given how ordinary our outside backs/centres have been, why not give him a run. could do worse.

If the plethora of changes are a knee-jerk reaction to what occurred in the Roosters game than I'm a little more worried about Flanagan's thought processes than previously.

The next two games should not be about winning at any cost with short-term fixes. Dropping Gardner the first time did not work why would he think a second time would? He appears emotionally flat and was not jumping around as he had been previously. Perhaps these personal issues have taken a bigger toll on him than we had thought. A talk and an arm around the shoulders would do him better than a confidence destroying axing. Pom is again arbitrarily axed again after a better than good game and Stapleton has been dropped for a couple of spilt balls. He should've been told to go out there to have another go.

The less likely scenario is that Flanagan's experimenting, going through all his options for next season. I have my doubts. He kept Ferguson on the paddock because he wanted to field the best team to win every week even when our season was gone.

I'd like to be wrong.

I am a bit anoyed to see gardaner dropped. His confidence is clearly done a bit and just needs some faith in him i think.

I was annoyed when he did it a few weeks ago but now i dont think its a bad move.

Gardner will be the Sharks fullback next year and into the future, but he is down on confidence and maybe spending the last two rounds in NSW Cup will release the pressure on himself and maybe even be a bit of a wake up call to him.

The more I think about it, I like what Flanno is doing - the team has lost 6 on the trot so if there is ever a reason to be changing the side (even at the expense of "certainties" like gardner) then there's no better time

I for one feel Gardner deserved to be dropped, happy to see that he is. Stapo deserved it as well. Friz, and Poms didn't deserved to be dropped. Flanno will probably run a team out full of jersey numbers in the high 20's.

agreed. Stapo and Gardner being dropped was a knee-jerk reaction. They both fudged up - same as Pom last week (one stupid penalty) and Best vs Brisbane (one bad defensive game) but if you look at their performances in the last few games they deserved to keep their spots.

also - what exactly did Collis do wrong guys? got the ball three times - once on his own line and twice he nearly scored - plus he was perfect defensively.

That's a joke Gardner getting dropped. I'm a big fan of Gordon's, but Gardner should be an automatic selection. I was annoyed when Flanagan said after the game that we lost because of Gardner's mistake, but thought it was just heat of the moment.

I am glad to see Townsend back in NYC though. The (c) next to his name shows it's not any sort of relegation.
