But homebush will draw a crowd probably around 30k - 25k of that sharks supporters as apposed to GIO stadium which will draw about 24k and 20k of that raiders fans.

Big difference imo
Again, you're right, but during last nights game, how much do those facts play in the sharks heads? Not a lot I reckon. Not in terms of being able to out enthuse a team playing thier own kind of finals. I only make this point because the stats show that end of season slumps and finals success can often go hand in hand.

Yeah it's been happening for far too long. We're the second most penalised team in the comp and I bet we're the worst for giving teams a leg up out of their half. It drives me bloody insane, why hasn't the coach addressed this????
He sorted out Fifita (or Andrew sorted himself) but other serial offenders have been allowed to run amok but Flanno probably loves the grit and niggle, but we need to be smart about it
Even last night we were flying out hands at marker trying to knock the ball down from the attacking player

Even during our winning steak the penalties were putting us under pressure in games we should have been more comfortable in

I agree that end of year slumps can sometimes be a positive thing but I definitley think we need top 2 and home semi to make the big one. I just can't see us winning in Canberra first week which will be a huge disadvantage having to play an extra game plus travlling to melbourne in the prelims. We win the first week and we have a sydney prelim, that's the goal that's the only way we make it to the GF.

Yep I reckon we got away with a bit last night that we'd normally get pinged for. In saying that so did Souths so at least it was consistent.

It we get back to playing at our best then I won't be bothered about playing Canberra in Canberra, I'd back us to beat anyone, anywhere. We're so far away from that form though it isn't funny.

Footy's a funny old game. I hate the idea of playing in Canberra, but on the flipside, they'll be favourites and be expected to win in front of their home fans. We can play that game with no expectation, but also knowing we get another shot if we lose. Might be just the tonic.

Anyone get the feeling were overplaying that sweeping backline play now though? Teams are just set up for it.
Feel like more decoys should actually look to get the ball. Wade did and crashed over.

Need Val centre field more often also as a second fullback opposite Barba supporting runs.

I don't think we used that once last night, unless I missed it ordering my fifth coke zero or my gourmet pie and upside down passionfruit cheesecake in the Coca-Cola Corporate Box last night.

If we win this week everyone will be saying the sharks are back lol.... I am depressed as hell about the last month but all will be forgotten with a win or 2.
You've bottled your emotion pretty well I thought...ha ha

Haha. Well we never really got to the edge as it always broke down with Chad, or Barba or Bird under immense pressure with a flick on. Now that sides set up for it, its got to be absolute crisp which it hasnt. Just feel if you use the decoy who perhaps times his run abit later abit more sides will have to set up differently.

Was it meant to be upside down or did you trip over?

Ha ha Thresh! :) I tell you what though, it was bloody delicious. So much for my recent weight loss. Have packed a few kilos back on unfortunately. Have to get back into walking during spring/summer!

Putting away the razor blades, all teams we've lost against have lifted to play us. I can't remember a time where the dragons, titans or souths played with less errors or penalties than they did against us.

Yeah you're right Napoleons those teams really lifted against us , and that won't happen in the semi's , we'll be able to play to our recent form and win easily , cause we won 15 in a row in April , May , June .

Great point mate , love your insight
