Been thinking about this, not many teams in the 8 are in form atm. Melbourne lucky to beat Souths, we've been down a for a while, Cows also. Only Canberra and Wests are showing real form atm, regardless of their competition of late.

All teams go through a slump at some stage and we're in ours now, have been for a while. At least we get the chance to come out of it before the finals. I'm not overly concerned, even if we lose to this mob.

Shocking post HB, we all know there is only 3 things that cost us victory in every game. 1. Refs (and the wider NRL hate us) 2. Flanno 3. Playing with no heart.
Other teams form, our own injuries concerns short turn arounds after gruelling extra time are excuses for sissy's. (These views arnt mine).

Yep. As long as we finish top 2 and start to show some real improvement by round 25 I'll be happy. In the meantime I reserve my right to have a whinge regardless.
yeah I agree with you here mate

It's far from being the end of the world. The good thing is we have a few weeks to start hitting our straps. Not sure the impact of playing 3 weaker teams will have on us before the storm but we really do need to start to click into gear

If we continue the same form that we have shown in the past month for the next 3 weeks into the storm game it will be a bit concerning though

Agree also.

I've said it a few times now in different threads but we are horribly tired both physically and mentally. Whether the players admit it or not, you cannot go through 16 rounds of competition unbeaten without battle scars.

I'm confident we'll turn it around for this match, but we need to really fire up and treat it likes a finals match. Having Ennis back will improve things well.

I'll actually be at this game, a Dragons mate of mine offered me GA tickets (have to make do with the plebs in the crowd) so I'll look forward to seeing a better result.

Let's this week tap into the ol Ricky Stuart seige mentality, like a jewellery heist get in there put on a beating then get out, don't even hang around for the presser, run off the ground straight into a idling bus.

Could be a good week to rest Tagatese .He had one leg taped up like an Egyptian Mummy last weekend , played accordingly and limped off .Time to blood a Big Jets prop in case we need size in the Semi's , rather than expecting 2nd rowers to fill in and attempt to provide grunt .
Can't hurt playing 10 mins each side of half time .

Just feel this a fantastic opportunity to blood another Huge Unit prior to the semi's . No worries if you think that idea is stupid

Big game for us. We need to see an enthusiastic, committed Sharks team this weekend. The Dragons have had their troubles but this is a derby so they won't be pushovers. If we are committed in defence, then we should be able to shut down what is a pretty ordinary attack, if we slack off, then we could play Benji and Widdop back into form. I'm expecting the Dragons to lift against us, but I don't think it'll be enough, if we come out with the right attitude. 20-6 to us.

Fair enough .Any time in firsts at this stage , adapting to the speed and intensity would be beneficial .
He could be rusty. as it's been quite a while since he's played NRL and can't hurt to experience time on the field with his firsts team mates .
