Their comments were justified, Chad had a poor game. It will be interesting to see how he backs up this week. Often youngsters promoted to NRL go good for a few weeks then nose dive as the opposition works them out and pays them more attention.

On a whole as a team we have been poor the last 4 games. They had it all to play for but were rubbish. Looked off the pace in the majority of the last four games. Lacking motivation perhaps?? psychological?? Flanagan had built up the previous month as crucial which the team won 4 games. Means nothing now.

I am still amazed how many people want to point the finger at the Coach. These are grown ups who play footy for a living. What more motivation do you need than an opportunity to play finals footy when the game is what you live.

If they need the coach to motivate them and to have the desire to achieve that, then its a very sad state of affairs in my opinion.

Line speed in defence, goal line defence etc is not something being coached into a junior team, these guys are professionals. They need to be taking responsibility. They know what is required, they had been doing it for most of the season. Why blame the coach for poor attitude and lack of desire. If they have pride in their jumper, pride in their own performance and a desire not to let the fans down, they would have put in when it was needed. As a group, they haven't. Blame the coach, blame possible rifts or what ever, but at the end of the day the players are the ones that need to take a long hard look at themselves.

I blame the players AND the coach. They're on sweet money living in a good part of the world, they could all fall to the trap of enjoying the high life instead of putting in. The coach absolutely MUST keep their minds on the game. He must make them machines so they can just churn out plays and defend as one tough, impenetrable unit.

And the players must work hard to achieve this. They must strive for superior fitness. They must work hard to push themselves to the next level and only then will the team be able to move to the next level.

The players need to take it seriously. And the coach needs to ensure that they do.

all good points. It is obvious in some areas the players are not, so how can we assume the Coach isn't doing everything possible to make them. Even dropping a good player because he has an attitude problem with training?

Maybe it is respect for the coach, I don't know, but if that's the case it really is more of an unprofessional behaviour of the players to my way of thinking.

It seems these days this generation thinks respect is one way traffic.

Anyway, who knows what's really going on? I sure don't and don't claim knowing.

Fair points but the players dont run training, devise game plays and structures. Nor do they pick themselves? The coach does and as far as I am concerned a lot of mistakes are being made.

e.g Its the coaches fault a joke like Tautai is on the field. He makes big mistakes every time he plays. Who knows, if Tautai doesnt play maybe we win that game. He made big mistakes, just like he did the other week.

I am the last one to argue the point about selection, particularly TT. I agree totally about those aspects you raise sam. My points were specifically about determination and desire. Things like goal line defence which have been a strength in the past, but seem totally lacking now.

I think the point that was raised earlier was there appears to be issues at both ends. Players and Coach.

No second prizes - dick head.

Bloody hell here we go again - Bomberoy is the worst centre to play with our club along with Collis. What an embarrassment for the marquee centre of our club ET. The bloke should take up another occupation - a parking inspector with Sutherland council would be right up his alley. He would then still drop the ticket. !!

You're an idiot I am one of the first ones to bag pom but I thought he deserved a rap for that game.

sheesh is that all you need to do to get rep around here is it?

Ask, put it as your status, or take a naked pic of your self covered in AK memorabilia gets you rep. Occasionally a normal post gets it.
