No one can mate, not even the men in the middle.
Too gutless, too spineless, it's just a big riddle.
yeah I just don't get it. They bin players sometimes and not others. We made the break and the knights player deliberately stripped the ball yet doesn't get binned. It's mind-boggling

A lot of the calls were today, the one where mick ennis got penalised on our line at marker with about 10 minutes to go was a ridiculous call too

I thought so too, until they showed the replay. He wasn't standing square. It was a fair call.

I have no problem with any of the calls made on the no-tries (Val blew it plain and simple, and Ennis was running an obvious shepherd we would all have complained about had we been on the receiving end of it).

In spite of the brilliant tries scored, the overall execution left a lot to be desired. Way too many unforced errors. I know goal-kicking let us down (another worry if Maloney goes down at some point) but we should have put more than fifty points on that Knights team.
A very frustrating performance.

On the Barba no try.

If he had been tackled short of the line would it of been called? What happens if we score of the next phase, can they still look at it? It all stinks if you ask me, but atleast I know where the saying 'blood boiling' comes from.

Also the ruck seemed like a total lottery, especially if the ball came loose, you got to feel sorry for a player who has a ball ripped out and it gets called a knock on, only to tackle a bloke next set and be called for a rake when he drops it cold, I don't know how the players keep their cool with the refs, I couldn't help but say something.

Thought Val's try was a try, when he hit the ground and spun the ball was aloft above the line when his momentum stopped he lowered his arm resulting in a try, but I also though Beale's try was a bit suspect for DM, so even score there.

If I was Todd Greenburg watching that game yesterday I would of been red in the face and on the phone to old ref boss Archer, the on field refs where bad the bunker was even worse, ruining the game and that's no joke.

Can anyone explain to me why the knights player wasn't binned after we made the break and the ball was stripped from bukuya? It's a clear professional foul in my opinion
Was more binnable (not sure that's a word) than fergo' last week I thought.

I honestly can't see how you think Vals was fine and Beales a DM.

Vals elbow touched the ground with the player still holding him. Then he reached over the line to score. DM any day of the week.

Beale got tackled, no one had their hand on him when he hit the ground, and his entire body bounced over the line. Pretty sure he was over before he had the sight to try ground it.

But I don't know the rules anymore. That call to give the Warriors he feed when he caught the ball with his foot on the line makes me questions everything I know about the game. That's definitely a change in rules from years gone by.

Agree. Was a definite penalty. If we were smart though we'd use it again coming out of our own 20 but take the tackle before scoring so they can't look at it.

completely agree. I guess both could have gone either way, but by the letter of the law they were both no tries. The problem is, youll probably see the same tries scored and allowed in tonights game. Consistency is what is the biggest problem. If Knights had scored either of those tries and they were given, everyone on here would have been finding reasons it was a no try. Val hit the ground then reached out, it was close, cos he was still moving, but he did extend his arm out. Thats a no try. Ennis passed and did kind of drive forward into that player, hard for a player who just had the ball to get out of the way, but it was clear ennis tried to disguise that little block

Ennis definitely made a movement intending to block the player. Val buggered that try up early in the piece. We would have had a meltdown on here if they were allowed against us. I think we have a pretty good run with refs calls thus far this year. Not suggesting the standard is great on field or in the bunker but Im happy enough with the rub of the green so far

Even though Barba woulda gone over untouched if Val passed it to him, im sorta glad he went himself. I think Val learned the valuable lesson yesterday that he should have passed, but its good to see a guy willing to back himself anyway, he came awfully close as it was. He will be better for it

Watched the replay last night. Vals was definitely not a try.
The Barba call I can live with but chances are that is a try every other week. The media have bashed that call now so we get robbed to make an example, when it probably was the correct call. Ennis knew what he was doing.

Gallen getting up and shoving the bloke shows why he is a good football player but a dumb footballer and not the right captain. Ennis isnt the right person either.
Next year it had to be Wade.

Our backs are impressive. Verry impressive. 41 tries between the back 3 and now Bird and Beale are notching tries.

I listened to what Tallis had to say about us not having a big forward pack and I would agree if this was a 10 interchange game. But making it 8 plays into our hand.
We have come up against the dogs, roosters, warriors and cowboys twice and not been blown off the park.

Lastly, Ben Barba is phenomenal. Good luck to the club making him and holmes work and stay together. We are watching a truely gifted, naturally talented footballer.

The way Barba gets slightly on the outside shoulder of the defender to create space for wingers is exceptional. Throws a little shimmy in and away he goes.

When we had flash the defenders just rushed up and smashed him because they knew he would straighten up and go himself. 1 dimensional ****, and that itself probably cost us 1 or 2 tries per game.

With Barba he gets the ball wide and either side of the field he has Bird and Holmes or Leutele(beale) and feki. So those outside guys are all having great years too and all genuine threats with the ball in hand. Barba then has his options infront of him and the defence is always worried because any one of those players will do damage.

I honestly cant believe what im seeing. After 20 rounds we have the best attack in the comp. We have scored more points than any other team. Lets go back to last year where we were scraping in wins, or 2014 where we couldnt buy a win. Even 2013 which was our highest finished place in years we didnt play anywhere near as good as we are now.

Im not going to sit here and say we are going to win it all and be cocky like that, but theres no denying something good is happening there. We put 8 tries on the worst team in the comp, but we had like 15 errors or more. We missed 6 goal kick attempts. If we were on song yesterday, that was another 62 nil thumping

It's ****ing amazing when you're playing badly and still scoring 38 points. I don't care who we're playing. We were considered the **** club a couple of years ago. It's a great time.
