Really stuck it to a team pretty universally agreed to be a top 6 if not top 4.
They were missing Croker, anyone else?
We were missing Ramien, Johnson, Talakai, Hunt and you could kinda argue Fifita also not in first grade due to injury.

While there will be some teams in the middle I think this season is shaping up to be a big difference between the haves and the have nots. Hoping we can be competitive enough to stay in the convo at least.

There was a lot of like from the game tonight. The effort was there all game. A lot of teams would have gotten smashed tonight. They have a lot they can build off from tonight's performance and as you have said. Couple players come back from injury and suspension as well. Talakai, ramien and Johnson are big outs and to a lesser extent hunt (although I do rate him I just think he is less vital than the other 3)

Agree. The big Raiders forwards shooting off their line and no-one near Hiroti to take any pressure. Poor kid had no chance

Errors were close to what the raiders had. They did better on possession and completions but we owned all the other key stats. I get that the two above are pretty key of course.

No we didnt. Linebreaks 1-6, tackle breaks 20-49, errors 18-13. I was surprised that we made more metres off less hitups, their pack absolutely monstered us, it could have been a great win with a few conversions... i still feel sick from watching chad line them up. He needs to nail a pressure kick soon or that devil on his shoulder will haunt us all season

Yeah we don’t look that dangerous in the red zone. I think we’ve scored 3 out of a total of 5 tries off the back of botched kick catching.

How about when the ref stopped the game when we were on the attack AFTER Wighton got to his feet and was playing on.

FMD that was absolutley disgraceful from the ref.
