Yep found it nice and early. The North Eastern Western is a great place where all your troubles disappear.Did you find your special little corner mate?

The Rugby League Players Association is investigating security and welfare issues during and after Sunday's Sharks-Dragons match, including allegations that drunken fans abused St George Illawarra forward Joel Thompson in front of his wife and two-year-old daughter and threatened to urinate on their car as they were leaving Southern Cross Group Stadium.
The incident occurred after players were forced to walk from the dressing rooms under the western grandstand to a car park in the adjoining Sharkies Leagues Club, which is on the opposite side of the ground.
This is very average behaviour if true.

could have had all the security guards that were there and you still wouldn't be able to stop it. How are they suppose to stop that many people. For a big crowd the security was pretty ordinary HB. Now I love it when the fans are able to run on the field but they got it horribly wrong on Sunday. About five minutes after fulltime, around 20-30 people suddenly jumped over the fence and went on to the field while the players were still there getting ready for the Monty Porter presentation. I counted just two security guards trying to wave everyone off but they were soon swamped when others saw that this first group had made it on to the field so everyone else just followed suit. The security guards just let it all happen, I doubt this is something the club planned.

Blame the parents if anything
The reason i say I wasn't real impressed with Fifita is because he wasn't the xfactor front rower we signed a couple of years ago. It was great he had no errors in him, but he didn't show the xfactor he has in him. It was just a solid display, nothing more.
We are used to Gallen playing lock like a front rower, a million hitups for a million metres per game. Hence why we all want him to play front row. Gallen is not your typical lock and honestly shouldn't even be playing lock. Locks are mobile forwards who can play out wide and could even back up in the backline. Sure they can do hitups but generally you would want them playing wider from the ruck and ballplaying and supporting the halves. I think Bukuya did well, he was mobile and had some important carries. I think he did well and should most definitely at the very least be getting a bench spot and playing quite a few minutes each week.
The game as we have known it for the last few years has changed with the interchanges being reduced and shot clock introduced. The game is quicker and players need to be fitter. Front rowers, 2nd rowers and locks aren't all battering rams anymore.
My 3,2,1:
3: Chad
2: Wade, maybe even Lewis, both were solid
1: Bukuya
Also just adding, I don't think we played well. Yes the scoreline would suggest we did play well but really we didn't. The Dragons played THAT bad and we capitalised on it. Lets not get carried away with the weekends performance, it was 2 all 30 minutes in and the Dragons looked alot better than us at that stage.
Of course all of the above is my opinion only.
Mate, did you put these in the 3-2-1 thread? It'll get missed in this one.

Mate, I will take this of that performance by Fifita for the majority of the season, back when he showed X factor we needed him to because as a squad we had bugger all of X factor.
Our squad is much stronger across the board so for the likes of Fifita or a individual having to pluck something out of his behind to win us or get us back in the game are less needed now, we are starting to be a strong team, if each player plays his role we should be ok for the best part of most games, yeh, you need someone to stand up but if Fifita does his go forward without the rubbish we are a better team ten fold already.
IF he does make that break or miracle play its a bonus but you cant tell me we need it from him all the time, we just need Gal to realize if he does the go forward for us & works his backside off in defence we are ok as well, we don't need him to be the saviour every set of 6 nor need him to do the customary two hit per set of 6 or play the first receiver role.
yep normally the let spectators on the field after the 2nd siren.
but i think everyone was so stoked after the win they couldnt wait
I disagree with your summary on a lock. I think our game at this stage has progressed past your description which is more the role of a traditional lock. The reason i say I wasn't real impressed with Fifita is because he wasn't the xfactor front rower we signed a couple of years ago. I think it's usually just children allowed onto the ground after the second siren though, not all and sundry
Was pretty funny seeing all these little kids swap the players while they were still out there though ha ha
Club really needs to learn from Sunday and how to manage big crowds in the future (security, bar lines ect) not that they haven't had lessons in the past...

These days we have backrowers on the edge used in much the same way as a lock of old (except for floating around the field). Most edge backrowers are capable enough ball players to help the halves and the ones who aren't are used well as decoy runners and hard running lines which assists the halves anyway.
The lock these days is a middle third player, this may change back but for the moment this is the role of the lock.
I struggle to think we will get back to that now tbh, maybe we will when interchanges go down more but I don't see it in the near future. My description of a lock is definitely old school, but I think we are heading back that way, I hope so anyway.
