Called the club on this. The guy (didn't catch his name) said all but a 'few hundred' seats are taken by members. They won't be selling these spare seats to the public for a few weeks. So I said..."what, so these few hundred seats will be empty for Sunday's game" his reply was "yes".

Great stuff, Sharks.

Have you got your ticket for Sunday HB or is this stopping you from going? I'd be emailing Lyall if that's the case.
It's an absolutley ridiculous scenario.

Looked on Ticketek and no tickets left for PB stand. So looked ahead and says the same thing for every home game this year. No chance the entire stand is taken up by ticketed members so either the club or Ticketek is dragging their feet in allocating member seats. Probably means people just assume no tickets left so won't bother going on Sunday.

I tried the same thing a while back and found all seats in the stands unavailable, and we're talking games months away.

If they're blocking tickets so there's availability for members to get seats I get but there's a point where you can't block tickets for the whole year ??

Ridiculous - The only reason I can think of is that they are hoping to sell those seats as season tickets before Sunday's game

I tried to buy tickets online last year and had the same problem, so I never went to a game. Spent the money on pizza instead and watched it on Foxtel.

Won't be going now mate. My old man is 70 so understandably doesn't want to stand on the hill.

I don't understand why anyone would queue up to buy tickets on game day when everyone can access ticketek on their phones

Yes I would love to pay over $300 for 2-3 games per year.
then stop your whinging then. The club has made it very clear how much higher we are on memberships compared to last year, 4000 to be exact so you can hardly blame them for witholding good seats leading up to our first home game of the year.

Smart move by the club to target long term members rather then blow ins

Would there not be some other fee or something if you buy them at the ground? If not, there should be
haven't purchased any for quite some time but pretty sure there is no few to purchase them at the ground

I know you get charged to pick up the tickets at the ground if you book via the website but pretty sure no fees if you just pay at the tickettek booth at the ground

If there is no fee, then that makes no sense to me. Do they really expect us to believe that it is cheaper for them to sell you a ticket at a ground, then for us to buy one on the internet, and then print it out ourselves?

No, it's stupid. Of course members should receive priority but you don't withhold seats that haven't been sold so close to a game.

By the way, I am a member, just not ticketed. Sorry I'm not as important as you.
