for a plodder who cant bend the line and makes no impact, he is one of 5 players to run for 200+ meters this weekend

3 of those were wingers, the other is jesse bromwich

we also had another player run for 200 in feki

But he inflates his stats by working harder.. :drunk

I drove from Brisbane to watch tonight's game and was in the Monty Porter stand directly in front of that dumb goose giving away a double movement penalty on the second tackle at a very tight time. I don't care what anyone else thinks they saw. He is a liability. His go forward is non existent. His defence is flaky and his decision making is poor as shown again by that brain freeze. Just go.

Referees boss Tony Archer says it was a try

NRL referees boss Tony Archer admits the bunker erred in failing to overturn Josh Jackson’s crucial try in the Sydney Roosters’ four-point NRL loss to Canterbury last Thursday.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson was livid post-game that the bunker stuck by the on-field decision of try, swearing that Bulldogs hooker Michael Lichaa stopped Aidan Guerra from stopping the putdown.

On Monday, Archer agreed.

“After reviewing it, I’m of the opinion that once Michael Lichaa touches the hand of Guerra, he’s impeded him, so subsequently it should’ve been overturned,” Archer told the NRL website.

Robinson unloaded on the video officials in the post-match press conference for the second time this year, saying more questions needed to be asked of the bunker.

He said he couldn’t understand how the bunker made yet another error.

“If you are going to spend that money, if you are going to have those camera angles, then get it right,” he said post-game.

Trent Robinson head coach of the Roosters doesn’t want an apology — he wants the bunker to get it right.

“You guys (the media) need to ask questions. Because we are down the bottom of the ladder, we will move on and we will get a silent phone call and saying sorry we got it wrong.” Robinson said there was no point in calling Archer this week to simply receive an apology.

“I am a fan of the bunker, but you can’t have all those camera angles and get it wrong, it is so important, for a team like us for morale, for the effort,” he said.

“Some guy sits in a box and doesn’t see Aidan Guerra’s hand pushed, it is an illegal play, you just can’t get that stuff wrong, not with the promises that got made with this bunker.

“It is 101. You get an apology and you move on but you are sitting on the same amount of points. It is the rant of a losing coach I guess, but it is just unacceptable. Who is holding them accountable?” Archer also said the bunker also should’ve awarded a try to Cronulla captain Paul Gallen, who was penalised for double movement in their win over Parramatta .

An NRL spokesman told AAP Robinson’s comments were still under review, but it is understood the Roosters coach isn’t likely to face sanction.

Robinson was fined $40,000 earlier this year after attacking the credibility of referee Ben Cummins in an explosive aftermath to their Anzac Day loss to St George Illawarra.

While it was obvious it was a try, the ref didnt go to the bunker, he blew a penalty. The bunker didnt get this wrong, the referee on the field did.

Yep but I don't mind the refs making a call. Would be happy if they got rid of the bumker altogether but that will never happen.

Not referring to the Gal call, as bwb said it was the on fields call. Why doesn't Archer sit in the Bunker as well. Every week he comes out picks this and that, for **** sake go in and fix it.

Re Gals no try, sort of evened itself out with the Ricky second try, Barba's pass to him was forward.

I thought the pass was OK but there was another where Fifita clearly knocked on when playing the ball. We scored straight after it.

I think we're getting more than a rub of the green at the moment with the refs. Maybe Gal's try was a try but like HB said, they missed a blatant knock on from Fifs and I still think we were lucky to get awarded Boogs penalty try against the Warriors considering other ones that had occurred in the past few weeks.

Did kenny edwards knock on a few plays before wicks scored ? Or was it the right call to play on
Yep just in our side of the field, Was one that just about always gets called a knock on, plenty stopped on their runs both in attack and defence usally a sign that it's gone forward... The bunker is a fiasco at the moment, still think a lot of the problem is how the refs have to send it up as a try or no try, instead of saying not sure, then there is no need to over rule anyone just look and make a educated decision.

I wish they'd just get rid of it. When you see the older games on Fox they're so much more enjoyable to watch imo, very few stoppages compared to today.
