Well as we all know this is going to be tough.

The Panthers are in red hot form with a club record 9 wins in a row.

They have a monster forward pack, backs that are quick and exciting, a coach who is one of the best in the game and a halfback that is calling the shots and running the show brilliantly.

As most of us remember, and are trying hard to forget, they put more than 50 points on us last time we met.

It would seem our only hope is that surely they have to lose one sometime...

May as well step up and see how we go in a true acid test. I’m up for it, confident we will make a better game if it second time around. (Providing SJ and duges can back up)

Both teams scored pretty much every time they were in opponents red zone - we need to be better with the ball and with discipline to not walk them to our end.

We also had an absolute dogs breakfast of a makeshift edge which got torn apart. Moylan hasn’t been great since coming back but defence has been solid and will grow a leg v Penrith. Dugan will be there (hopefully) and Wade is playing much better than he was then too.

A big challenge for us and hopefully one the boys are looking forward to, not worrying about.

They weren't impressive on the weekend. I have a feeling we're getting them at the right time, they're due for a loss.

Obviously our defence needs to improve though.

Unless we somehow learn to defend this week we don't win this.

Very different team to the one they faced last time. No Nene who dropped balls for fun and no Goodwin. Duges and Katoa holding that side down and Talakai on the other side facing Kikau (boy that’s going to be fun to watch). Get a good start and we are in it. The flood gates could open though if they get a few early tries.

SJ and duges in, we win.

Out, we get pasted.

Panthers are giving off real cronulla 16' vibes though

I reckon Kilau and Crichton are gunna tear up that edge

You might be on the money .
I just wish we'd take risks later in the tackle count to shift it swiftly deep , left to right or right to left and give BOTH our centres time and space to do some damage too .
Both just don't seem to get the ball in a position to run hard and use strength and footwork .
Any thoughts ?
