We’re refreshed after the bye with no Origin representation. A great opportunity for our blokes to rest some of the niggles and we’re up against a Penrith team that’s in a vulnerable state, we cannot take this opportunity for granted.

Penrith have named their origin stars as reserves so there’s every chance of mass changes before kick off.

I really hope Penrith take us lightly and rest their Origin guys. Although it’s still a decent team without them, it brings us back into the fight. I think he’ll use a few of the Origin guys depending how they back up, but he’ll give maybe 2 or 3 of them a rest regardless.

We’re a ****ing chance this week guys, really looking forward to this Friday.

I think a few origin players will get rested and some will stay play. My bet is the halves are rested and the forwards depending on how many minutes they get will still play.

I don't think it would be a case of taking us lightly, more so having eyes on the finals and not risking players getting injured.

There's not much doubt they'll finish top 2.

Like you though, really hope they rest them all. Winning this would be a massive leg up for us.

Yep has been a thing for a couple of years from memory.

What ever happened to the “21 man squad” to be named at 4pm Tuesday’s?

Or is there always an exemption around Origin time for teams?

*edit posted same time as question already asked and answered lol

Footy tipping will be hard this week. Unfortunately the comp I'm in doesn't allow changes once the first game starts!

Teams that have 3 players in Origin can list 1 additional player (22), with 4 players they list 2 additional players (23)

Nathan Cleary etched his name into Origin folklore bravely playing with a suspected fractured cheekbone and laceration to lead NSW to a 50-6 victory over Queensland in the State of Origin series opener in Townsville

Did some good things and did some pretty ordinary things, like most of his team-mates.

We can safely rule Cleary out now. He has a suspected broken cheekbone. Gone for 3 to 6 weeks it appears.

didnt see all the game. How did Capewell go.

When Trbojevic was actually being a centre he gave him nightmares and comfortably won the match up. Although Capewell had one great moment, stepping around Trbojevic for QLD’s try. Was a good try.

Reporting as just laceration now but still doubt he plays Friday.
Could rest one or two others possibly if they are a bit banged up but I won’t hood my breath for it
