Being at the game live that was a tough one to take considering it was my first home game this year, I don't know what it is but Manly just seem to have us under control every game, they step up against us like we do against Melbourne I guess, obviously they don't want to lose to us. Their defence was just top notch unfortunately, I have never wanted to give credit to Manly in my life but I guess I'll have to now.

Uele was once again one of the bright sparks coming off the bench, he just runs hard & straight as hard as he can, he's turning into one of my favourites, when Woods gets back I'm hoping he'll keep his place in the 17 somehow. We can't win every game & can't expect too much from our youngsters straight away, they'll only learn from it. I like Kyle but I really think Chad should have kicking duties until Johnson gets back. Kyle unfortunately has missed quite a few this year which is costing us points at crucial times. Don't want to go into too much detail about every player so I'll just keep it short at that.

I think on current form he’s virtually undroppable

If Uele keeps his spot & Woods comes back in aswell, who loses their spot? I guess it would have to be Bukuya unfortunately?

Yep, unlucky too as he’s had some good games but BHU is next level atm

I would even look at Prior being put on notice.
He isn’t killing it at the mo definitely not like the last few years.
It could put a cracker up him and fire him up if he thinks he is in the firing line.

It will be tough to drop a few of these guys as they've been loyal to us & been great players at their peak but unfortunately we can't fit everyone in when we have a full strength side, I'd say Feki or Gray will lose their spot in the backline once Moylan is full fitness, when Wade returns it will be Wade & Nikora 2nd row without a doubt so Capewell will be taken out. If we keep Uele in there which I think we should, it would have to be Prior, Bukuya or Capewell gone because no doubt we'd want to keep Williams in there.

Yep definitely our best team. We could win a GF with that team on the park if we are firing.

Prior is a chill guy, I don't think he would sook about being given a quiet word, maybe some time coming from the bench. might fire him up which is what he needs. just as I thought he was starting to warm again recently his execution still isn't quite there. he hasn't been awful or bad enough to the point a player like him would get dropped to reggies. he's just been a bit meh and below the standards he established in previous seasons.

he's part of the furniture in our squad and an incumbent even though a player like bakuya has been very very strong and outplaying him, unfortunately sometimes those players miss out

this is where not having an 80 min hooker can sting a bit as you only ever have 3 bench spots as a relief hooker is a given every week. jnr brailey isn't really giving us more than his older bro or our other bench forwards right now but he is needed.
a bench of boogs, williams, woods, Uele would be unbelievably powerful and consistent. they all run hard, can offload and defend well. there isn't really any weakness there

bukuya will stay in the team, bhu and capewell will be 18th and 19th

We really are fortunate to have some great FR options.
I think BHU has earned a spot in the 17 and we don't lose anything we he comes on, so in the short term when Woods is ready I'd be looking to give Prior, Fifita and possibly even Gal a rest and rotate them out for a few games to get right and freshen up.

Depends for me. If we're still getting dominated in the middle then Uele needs to be in the 17 imo.

He really is the only guy who is running straight and hard and having an impact at the moment. Sure Gallen is still good for some tough carries, but his line speed has slowed. Fifita and priors impact have been significantly down this year. I really think we need to look at our starting line up and make some tweaks with one or two of Gal, fifita or prior shifted to the bench.

Yep I agree. Can't keep getting off to slow starts, just not sustainable.

The slow starts aren’t all down to our front two getting dominated. The first 20mins we seem to drop ball and give penalties away and don’t defend them. We are under the pump for more reasons then those two.

In saying that Uele is killing it and i would keep him in the 17 and sadly someone else misses out.

From memory our mistakes and penalties have been a bit better the last few weeks.

I don't expect Uele to be able to keep this form up for too long, but he should be in the team while he does. Then drop him when his form drops and he can carve up NSW Cup then come back even stronger.
