So many times a penalty is blown under the obstruction rule in situations where the 'obstruction' is merely a matter of a player running the wrong line or stopping in the line - when a try would have been scored regardless.
If that is the precedent, then this really should have been treated in the same way.
In saying that, I'd prefer the refs & the bunker use common sense in all of their decisions and I think that they used common sense on this occasion.
