Interesting concept - I hate SOO with a vengeance, but it got me thinking - who has made the Oz side before without playing that **** of a game the same year?
Coming to the conversation late... but I think Scott Gourley was another one.

I heard a bit of Munster interviewed he references Nicho & how much he's on the ball. Reckons he needs to be a bit more like that himself.
Kind of funny because Munster runs rings around Hynes whenever they play each other

Munster also looked frantic at times trying to be on the ball and do everything against the Roosters, didnt trust his rookie partner who was playing well

Anyone know how Hynes went playing for the Aus PM side?

The only thing I saw was one a highlight when he dropped the ball at fullback.

He was No.15 so I assume he didn't get many minutes.

He played a fair bit, 50mins or so. The Australia side looked pretty dead until he came on and made a bit of an impact in the halves. Like usual, tonnes of energy and effort though did over play his hand on a few occasions.

Probably played 35-40 mins at halfback and another 10-15 mins at fullback.

Australian team very clunky and dropped plenty of ball (conditions weren't exactly ideal). Did manage a 40/20 though.

Yeah I thought he went pretty well. Considering the team had about 4 halfbacks playing, he was confident but didn't hog it. It reminded me of Melbourne and how well he fit in there, it showed if he has class around him, he's happy to share it.

He also played a good part of the second half at fullback, and looked good there too.

In the end it was Ben Hunt who set up the two tries in the second half though... wish we could have both.

True... must have been plenty of 40/20s kicked then?
Funnily. NO!

There was the only one kicked all game which is poor reflection on how we played given THAT breeze.

But credit to PNG for their part in making the Aussies not play to their potential.
The conditions may have also helped a little.

You mean it takes more than a stiff breeze to be able to kick a 40/20?

Because he’s so liked and because the judges would see him as our only good player, all he has to do is improve slightly on this season, and he probably wins a couple more Dally Ms.
