nope, it's not just you

First he says Sharpe was a halfback in his juniors and that's how players typically view the game so they should persevere with him in the halves

Then the following article he suggests to move Hynes out of the halves ...where he played all his juniors to ****ing lock, then to fill that empty spot we move Kennedy to the front line and bring back Stewart who can't get the starting spot at the Raiders.

No wonder he didn't keep his job at the Knights if that's the strategic thinking he has to offer
It’s wild to suggest Hynes at 13 but the Hynes at 7 experiment hasn’t done us many favours and now it means media is just looking for anything to get him out of the halves.

Hynes needs to start putting together solid 80 minute performances otherwise it’ll just become more crazy … I blame Fitz for being stubborn and refusing to move him to the 6 jersey when it’s clear Tricky is the one that has been doing the most.

Hynes should have a cracker game this week 🤞🏽

You would say that Trindall is far more involved, more like a 7? It's been that way since Nicho came back from injury last season. Don't let the numbers make you think they're playing those traditional roles

Yep, tricky is the 7, always been a 7 and is better suited to being a 7 then Hynes is. Hynes said himself this pre-season he is more of a 6/five eighth role..

Because Fitzy refuses to make the call everyone still sees Hynes at 7 and judge his games based on that role instead of being judged based on the role that’s closer to Munster, Luai, Brown etc

It makes no sense

Only the results make anything make sense, padawan. I suppose it's possible we end up in an Arthurs/Parramatta situation ... The question will be how happy is the club and the Sharks fans with consistently being in a position to win, and how many GF's in the next decade (well, maybe 3-5 years with this roster) will it take for us to say Fitz has done his job? How Hynes has been used will be a big part of that, no doubt. It already is!

Sure. The context is media/commentary around Nicho… He shouldn’t be judged as a halfback, it’s detrimental and does no one any favours especially when he’s said himself he is better suited to the running 6 role

Anyway, it’s a dead topic until the coach pulls the trigger

I don’t mind if Nicho is not first receiver but for me, other than for being ‘official about it’, does it really matter who’s wearing 6 & who’s wearing 7 on their backs.

Both Tricky & Nicho, as well as the team would know who’s the main steerer of the team.
If it’s to possibly shut the media talk up who’s 6 & 7, so be it but by doing so, it’s sort of reacting to what they want us to do, whoever runs out for us every weekend, as long as they know, that’s the main thing, right?

If the roles have changed then the jersey should change… He’s getting judged and compared to other halfbacks when that’s not really his bread and butter

Nicho coming out and saying it before round 1 was the time to do it but you’re right, now it just looks like we’re reacting when we’re not

Is he though?

If he was carving it up as a ball runner I don't think he would be getting criticised at all.

I think he is getting criticised because he's on the big bucks and easy click bait material.

Half the talk is about is Hynes no longer the chief playmaker, Trindall is controlling the attack, Trickys doing all the kicking etc

It’s confusing
