Just on this signing I wonder if Bellamy played any part in which club Hynes chose to leave for.

Bellamys’s words of advice to Chambers got him to our club.
Bellamy apparently rang Dino after the Dragons game and congratulated him on the win.
Bellamy suggests Sharks to Hynes??

Not suggesting we have landed Bellamy but those months of negotiations have maybe helped him form some sort of bond to our club.

Beat me to it.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Maybe Bellyaches dealings with Dino and some insights on where we are headed has helped, “if not us son, have a really good look at the sharks”!
So even if we don’t land him, he may have helped us land Nicho (although I’m sure his preference would have been to hold onto him).

And now for Trindall ......

I still think SJ for a season or so will help him more.
I’d love Trindall, but SJ’s experience would win out.
Extend Trindall as cover with the hope that he is the succession at 7.
Then we have a good young spine that can stay around for a good 5-7+ years

It won't take much to keep Trindall.

Would rather have SJ partnering Nicho next year. Trindall will get a few chances through injury you would think.

What is all this moylan or SJ rubbish? Sign SJ now, trindall and tracey backup halfs. Moylan is gone surely (still hope he keeps playing well this yr tho)

1. WK
6. Hynes
7. SJ
9. Brails
13. McInnes

We’re so ****in set with this spine. Just one strike centre and a bit more mongrel up front...

Given he is your boy, any thoughts on his general play kicking?

Better than Moylan. Great second option but won’t control a game with his kicking (he’s not Fogerty). That’s probably all you need to know.

No doubt he could do both
Mainly 6 on back in the clips

Maybe more clips from early on. Started as 6. Finished the year at 7. Cowboys feeder though, so Laybutt was in and out of the team a bit.

Burgess, I recall you saying he was best player not playing in the NRL. Fair play mate! You must be happy with this signing
