Or the right 5/8 to put next to Hynes

Not really a difference there. Whichever. As long as its a half that can control the game, steer the team around the park and be the primary general play kicker so Hynes has the freedom to chime in and do his thing and continue to develop his own kicking game then I couldn’t care less if they play 6 or 7.

He's playing bloody well, that's for sure.

Will be interesting to see how he goes next year though, won't have it as easy as this year.

Pre judging him but I hope he isn’t going to be our steering the ship half, he may be capable of doing so but I think if he’s lugged with that responsibility it’ll be detrimental to his running game or what his best asset to our team could be.

There is if they want Hynes to be that steerer. It's been rumoured in a few places that they want him for that role

Depends what the expectation on him is.
Maybe McInnes is a good player to say ‘alright we are heading to this area of the field’ because he has determined between game plan, what he is seeing on field, what we want from the set, that it’s what is wanted and Hynes can help execute that but may not also be at a point where he can correctly make that assessment himself and help deliver it. So McInnes makes the call and then him, Blayke, Hynes and Moylan/Trindall all work together to pull it off

Hmm maybe, I still think putting a halfback next to him that can steer the ship so to speak would of been ideal for him. But if they can work something out with McInnes at lock, then maybe. Right now I’m hoping Trindall can turn into that halfback, but its way too early to tell with him.

Definitely better if we have one we can put there, at the moment not sure we do, a lot of the steering can be done easily enough by other players once someone else makes the decisions where to steer to though

Named 18th man, I assume he will suit up and could play if someone is injured from foul play??

Not that it matters but I think Korisau is 18th man isn’t he? Nico is 19th, so Api will probably be the concussion sub. Unless Freddy has switched around.

Api on the bench for Whighton starting

Ohhhh right ok. Sorry everyone.

I did the just reread the team list after you told me that and its got Fincuine in the 18 jumper though, although it would make sense to go with Hynes as the concussion sub over Dale for the utility value.
